Question about PR card while I'm waiting for the Citizenship Application. I'm going to be sending off my Citizenship Application at the end of this week, so I guess it will get to Nova Scotia next week sometime. The current wait time for it to be processed says 12mths. My PR card is going to expire in April 2021 - should I apply to renew it now? Or what will happen if my PR card expires while I'm waiting for my citizenship application? Can I still work and use my SIN?
with everything that is going on globally and the virus on the rise it is difficult to rely on timeframes set today as a good measure of what will happen next.`you can still work with your PR card expired but if for any reason you have to leave Canada and your card is out of date - it may be difficult for you to return. I would renew my card if I were you but it is your decision.

Two applications sent to Sydney by Canada Post today, September 10th; for my US husband and step-son. I wonder how the pandemic is affecting processing times. Good luck to all!

Greetings figtoria! My wife sent hers yesterday. I was wondering the same. The official IC website indicates a 12 month-delay. And it has been the same for the past 2-3 years.

Yes because you have been in Canada only from 2017 so it makes so sense for you to declare for 2016 & 2015. I know few friends who wrote this and got AOR.

so when you guys are expecting AOR ? near March ? :)
