Oh yes, wish there was a policy update recommendation somewhere.

I was shocked they sent my whole family package back for missing "checkbox" , and now the only concern is the application version, which is definitely out of date.

You should be fine as you would have gotten the version from the site in 2019 at the max.

Make sure you use a version of the application form dated October 2017 or later. You can find the version date on the bottom left corner of the form. For example, “CIT 0002 (01-2019)” means the version date is January 2019. The date you sign or mail your form does not change the version date.

You're absolutely right. Thank you (relief) , I can now put that in my back-burner and keep my fingers cross for them to really open my package.

Hey Guys,
I had to ask this question although it is not relevant in this forum.
I will be eligible to apply citizenship in December 2020.
If I meet criteria to apply for citizenship and then move out of the country, will it be processed? or I have to be in the country always until process is completed?

May I ask which version did you use?

Used 06-2019 , that was originally delivered on Oct 2019.

Which checkbox were u missing? Did they at least send it back before giving u an AOR or was it after AOR?

Don't remember which, but it was something that many have missed.
A returned application will never receive an AOR. But you will see a stamp on the document indicating that CIC received on a certain date. Also they attach a letter indicating the applications that were approved , except for the application that needed a checkbox.
