While preparing the physical presence calculator data, I have encountered a situation. I have stayed continuously for the last 3 years (Aug 2017 - Sep 2020). Prior to that I was in other country from 2014-Aug 2017. My 5 yr eligibility period is from Sep 2015-Sep 2020. How do I enter my initial absence? Sep 2015-Aug 2017....or 2014 - Aug 2017? Please advise.
I think it's only section 10(a) on the Application form where you list all the addresses lived outside Canada, with the explanation so that you don't have to provide a police certificate for the time lived outside in your country of origin before becoming PR. The physical calculator only requires your absence while you are on PR I believe? If someone on this forum can confirm this, it would be great.

I have a question about the proof of English language efficiency document that I need to submit for citizenship.
I have my master's degree certificate from my home country, which is in English (doesn't require a translation) but it doesn't specify anywhere on the document that the medium of study was English. Is it an acceptable document for the above purpose?
Because I lost my CELPIP scorecard in transit. I passed my exam in 2013, so not sure if I can get a copy from them. I have already requested them for a copy, but not sure. So I am thinking about alternatives if CELPIP doesn't respond.

Please advise.

Thanks
P

How come your degree be in english if the study wasn't in english? That is to say your degree being in english is good enough it doesn't need to say that the major of study was in english. If you read the application guide carefully it just said your degree from abroad or Canada in english or french, You should be fine.

okay, got it, thank you.
I did my master's in computer engineering which was all taught in English but it was not mentioned on the certificate. So I was a bit confused about whether I could use it for this purpose.

I think if the diploma is in English then it's sufficient

The question though is about the dates in physical presence calculator. I'm clear on the address part.

Hi All, For citizenship Language proof, do we need to give IELTS test ?
Can I include the previous IELTS report which I submitted in my PR application in 2014 ?
If no, what else I can include in my application?

Not necessarily know a lot of people applied and are citizens now, they all used their degrees from their countries in french nothing else. You do not need any letter from your university. Show me the source of this info.

share the link please, this is what I can read from the guide :

You attended or are currently attending a secondary or post-secondary education program in English or French, either in Canada or abroad, including:
  • A degree, diploma, certificate or official transcripts from a secondary or post-secondary education program showing you studied in English or French, in Canada or abroad.
  • If the original document is in a different language, include:
    • a letter from the school showing that the language of instruction was in English or French along with (including an official translation of the original document, if needed)
    • the address and contact information (phone number) of the education institution

If your degree is already in English or French, this already shows that you studied in English or french. You cannot study in Russian and have your degree in English or French. If your degree is not in English or French then you need a letter showing that the language of instruction was in English or French ( see above).
