Yes you should be excited, this is AIP! Congratulations! COPR should come in several days, if it follows the recent pattern we've been seeing.

And you CAN apply for OHIP with this letter. See: https://www.ontario.ca/page/apply-ohip-and-get-health-card#section-2. Print it out and show it when you sign up. Not all Service Ontario people will accept the email if you just show it to them onscreen, so better to be safe than sorry and bring along the printout.

You do need to wait for COPR to apply for a SIN, though: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/sin/reports/apply.html#primary. If you apply for it with the COPR letter (before you receive your PR card) you'll need the COPR letter, and your passport, driver's license, or ID showing residency in Ontario.

I think I am also in the almost same status. I have received a letter on 11th August stating that



Then on 13th I got an email from IRCC Etobicoke asking me whether I am in Canada or not. We replied Yes to it.

After that here my status changed to COMPLETE with a message "You entered Canada at the Etobicoke IRCC office on August 13, 2020 and became a Permanent Resident."

But till the time I have not received any letter or anything like CoPR. I am not sure is it the same case with everyone or not. I tried Webform and they said that I should wait and they will send me something :-D

I am not sure whether I should be excited about PR or wait till I get the PR card. Also not sure whether I can apply for OHIP or SIN number.

I have been in the same situation. They sent me an email to confirm if I reside in Canada which i confirmed then my statues changed to Complete and then it its written that i landed at the etobicoke office and became a permanent resident since 24th of July. with the AIP and SA approval i applied for OHIP which will be valid for a year and they mentioned when i receive my PR card i should go back and change my OHIP card. However, i only have a SIN for my work permit and i cannot apply for a SIN so far because up until now i did not receive my COPR document. I have called 3 times so far, the first time in late july he said that within 3 to 6 weeks you did not receive it call us back and i shouldn't worry cause am a PR resident which he congratulated me for it and he said that he can see that until now they didnt send it. The 2nd fone call, the lady told me that some do receive COPR and some dont and now i should wait for my PR card and assured me again that am a PR resident. The third time which is today, i wanted to inquire more about it, another lady was like everyone should receive the COPR. So she sent them an email that they havent sent me the COPR until now. So, im just waiting for either a COPR or for somehow to receive the PR Card.

As I stated before, my husband got the letter stating that he is eligible to sponsor me. Within 5 min I got the letter stating:

Proof of Relationship: Document proving your relationship with your inviter/family
member. You did not provide sufficient evidence of relationship/cohabitation. Please provide
additional evidence of relationship/cohabitation that could be used to confirm whether a sponsored
spouse or partner is cohabiting with their sponsor.

All requested infos were provided when we first send our application Sept 16. So I resended again, but this time I included my pay sub and driver licence.

I have searched the forum and I have read that people got rejected even with all the supporting documents, so my question to you all what can I do if I get rejected???

Hi everyone had a quick question. Since July 16 Sponsorship application status has been approved but permanent resident application is still shown as in progress. Do you know how long it can/will take before permanent resident application decision will be made?? We haven’t received any other email or mail for more information.

You need to send a new one. I was told that the PR picture must be no older than 6 months old, thus the request for a new photo (and why they don't use the ones you submitted with your application).

Do you get a COPR document in the postal mail as well? My ECAS says I landed on Sept 03 in Vancouver, and then it says they mailed me something on September 4.

If you applied online it would take around 10-15 days to get your SIN in the mail.
You won't get CoPR in your mail. It will just be a pdf copy in your email/gckey.

So weird about the COPR tho, after I gor the pdf on my account the next day my ECAS had a new message after the message saying I landed, saying they sent me a communication in the mail and to expect delivery delays in the postal service due to covid, that is what confused me

You have to use email one as right now u don’t get paper one copr. Also pr card processing time is 4 months now.
