Hello ALL, I work for an IT company. I made a mistake in providing title . My company is saying to use internal designations which has different names for the position. Could you please tell if its advisable to make a change here. There is no other change in NOC or my points is not going down because of this. For example

I gave
Position StartEnd
X in USAAug-2015sep-2018
Y in INdiaAug-2010Aug-2015

My reference letter which I will get from employer will have

PositionStart End
A- USAAug-2015Sep-2018
B-IndiaSep-2014Aug-2015
C-IndiaOct-2013Sep-2014
D-IndiaAug-2010Oct-2013

Looking for guidance whether PR will be reject if I proceed forward with change or Should I decline ITA. I don't have enough points to make it to the next ITA.

You dont need the India work-ex for full points as you have the US work ex for >3 years. My suggestion would be to just put the India job that you had in biographical history and not put it in as work-ex.

Again, you dont need that part of your work ex to get the points. So does not matter what your title is if you dont use it to claim points.

It’s simple. If your title change within the organization doesn’t alter the work you claim to have done, it is fine. For example software engineer III vs Sr software engineer - you can make this fly by attaching a letter of explanation and usually genuine cases will not have any problems.
However if the title purported by you is Product Manager and your org says your title is QA analyst you are going to have a problem.
In conclusion you know best if your situation is genuine or not. If yes attach LOE and don’t waste an ITA. If not try again as CIC usually sniffs our BS and bans for years.

@WarHammer Thank you, My Organization has designation and title. For example, Currently I have designation as Assistant Consultant. while I'm working as Technical Architect in Organization. Designations are generic for every employee, while title differ. So my official letter will giving as Assistant Consultant in the letter while I gave Technical Architect in profile. Do you think is Okay to change?
