HELP! STUDY PERMIT (VISA) REJECTED TWICE.

Generally a purpose of visit rejection is related to your choice of program. Can you explain about your previous study of business management (was the program graduate or post graduate) and what was your score/percentage?

It was undergraduate program of 3 years. I scored 1st Class.

As everyone mentioned above, DO NOT attempt to re-apply this month. You still have time for January 2021 intake. Take your time, order GCMS and apply in October. This will give you the time to understand the things thru GCMS. Update documents in your file so the next officer see the changes and not think that you are desperate. It will lead to visa rejection one more time.

In the end, its up to you if you want more rejections based on existing profile.

Seems like it wasn't enough and it sill won't. There must be something else that you are missing.. Get GCMS notes, usually takes 15 ~ 25 days at the moment and check what is missing. Update that document and write a strong SOP to explain all the issues that they have mentioned.

Hey, hope everyone's doing good.

I had been selected for Humber GBM May 2020 (Defered to September 2020 & further deferred to January 2021) but Visa has been rejected twice despite being an ideal candidate. (Age 22)

Reason for refusal (both times)- {SDS Category}

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.


1- Full year Tuition fees paid

2- GIC Paid (CIBC)

3 - IELTS 7 (WITH 6+ IN EVERY BAND)

4- FINANCIALS (ITR SINCE 2017 (50 LAC/Year)/SALARY SLIPS/SPONSORSHIP AFFIDAVIT)

5 - SOP (RESUMPTION LETTER stating I will join this organisation back after my studies in Canada FROM CURRENT EMPLOYER WAS PROVIDED AS WELL)

6- Previous Degree - Business Management (UK based degree in India) {Graduated in 2019}

7- Medical passed

8- 10th - 67% CBSE/ 12th Science 60%

Is it worth filing via attorney?
Requesting your feedbacks and suggestion as to how can I manage to get the study permit.

Visa officer is willing to give you visa but it seems you are not able to address his concerns. As I can see on both occasions he gave u one same reason only. That means he's telling you indirectly answer me the right question I will approve your visa.

I believe your employment letter and motivation is the culprit. Your employer gave you letter that you will come back and join the same company for that they will hold your position until you finish your degree. That is outrages, unbelievable and unrealistic.

Unless its a government permanent job and you get paid leave no visa officer will trust you. I think you should change your motivation and readdress your career plan and aim for better job opportunity. Explain VO career how you want to devlope your career and find better employment prospects than present employment. Most importantly explain how this program will benefit you and get higher ranked job with better salary threshold after finish this degree. This is your key.

And request a GCMS note before your re-submission. This will definitely help you understand the VO concerns/doubts about your intention.

Hey guys.
Shall I consider changing my course to MBA at University Canada West. (Jan 2021 intake)

My GCMS Notes have arrived and they state this -

Application, documents submitted and GCMS history reviewed. Previous refusal noted. Applicant wants to attend Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning for Global Business Management. Considering applicant's extensive education and previous work experience in the same field, I am not satisfied that applicant would not have already achieved the benefits of this program. It is not evident why applicant would study this program at sch great expense considering applicant already possess a higher level of qualification. Client has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business Management. I am not satisfied that this is a reasonable progression of studies, which raises concerns regarding applicant's intended purpose in Canada.
Not satisfied on balance that applicant is a genuine student who would respect terms of authorized stay, nor that S-1 is not facilitate entry to Canada for other unknown reasons. Application refused.

Please suggest.

I am not going to pin point on what specifically needs to be done but I can say (as it is mentioned in the GCMS clearly). You need to show a proper transition into your career path. Its up to you to research and think, update your SOP accordingly and when you have to look from his point of view. I am sure this will greatly help you achieve it this time.

I am aware that there's a plethora of negative reviews for UCW but I am trying to acquire more knowledge about it.

UCW is worse than Humber in this case. You will have to get admission in a Tier1/2 university in order to get past that previous refusals. @tapperb has compiled a list of institutes in Canada. You will have to research which one suits you. Do not rush in to applying again since it'll be refused again if you don't significantly show a change. Humber -> UCW is not a change but show desperation.

It would seem that you were refused because the visa officer is not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay. If that's the case you were correctly refused.

Your purpose of visit is suspicious and does not seem like you're a genuine student. Applying twice and getting refused for the same reasons also show you're desperate and not really interested in studying.


Apply for gcms notes.

Were you in his mind to know if correctly or not correctly refused? Applying second time after first refusal amount to desperation or a crime to you.We should know if you are representing ircc on this forum.The decision of the VO is based on his imagination and we have seen good cases refused by the VO after all he is a human being. pls, we should stop adding salt to injury. I totally understand your point and I am not in the stage to deny any of it. But on a serious note, I have absolutely no idea why do they have such negative reviews. (Despite searching on Google)
I have applied for its MBA curriculum since the modules are of my interest. Infact, their curriculum is quite similar to those of Elite Public Unis.
I would request you to provide a justification or any instances as to why there are so many poor reviews.
As I said, I am not denying your statement, just need some guidance.
