August 2019 - Citizenship Applicants

Hey everyone, interesting to see everyone get test invites and oath invites.

I got a FP request in Dec 2019 which I submitted and I have heard nothing after this. No updates on file, no changes.

Has anyone got test invites at all? Or are the people getting oath invites only those lucky enough to have completed tests before the COVID situation? Apologies if this was already mentioned in the thread but the thread is 120 pages long.


Total accrued dates (physical presence): exceeding requirement by a lot. Been in canada as PR for 7+ years
Application date: Aug 2nd, 2019
In process in Nov 2019
Dec 20, 2019: FP request. Sent in on Jan 1st week. Was acknowledged as received by IRCC local office

Update: Just received the Virtual Oath Invitation by email for Oath on Sep 9th at 1 PM Scarborough Office.

Timeline:
App sent - Aug 1, 2019
Test and DM - Jan 30th, 2020
Oath Invite - Sep 1, 2020
Virtual Oath - Sep 9, 2020 @1 pm

Congratulations on getting your oath invite. We have almost identical timeline but my office is Surrey, which is dead at the moment. Don’t know how long I’ll have to wait. And i saw you ordered GCMS notes. Dou you what Due date means in Eligibility? My start date in eligibility is 2020/03/2, which was my test date and then due date is 2020/10/10, and I don’t know what that means.

Those are internal due dates for officers but that was pre-covid. Right now one can only wait and pray. Sorry, but hang in there! Does your status not say Decision Made? If not then all the checks are still taking place/yet to be completed. It’s only a matter of time. Maybe send them an IRCC Webform inquiry!

We are on the same boat brother DM March 4th,, Test and Interview September 30th 2019,, seems like IRCC is as slow as molasses in winter.... or may be IRCC surrey staff has the least amount of immunity to fight the COVID-19..... what a pity on the working of the federal govt

It was quick, it cost $55 tax included and no appointment was needed.

I have decision made on my application. And i have tried IRCC webform to no avail. Guess just have to wait for now. Oh well, Congratulations to again.

It really is a pity that some offices are just dead. Citizenship is supposed to be a federal thing and not provincial like PNP that IRCC can't get their act together. Guess they don't realize that people have sacrificed so much personal stuff to get this. And it doesn't make any sense that everyone has gone back to work but IRCC staff When apart from test and oath ceremony(which they have canceled), they have almost zero public dealing.

Interesting. Same here, MTL office. I received my FP request yesterday. Did you do your test and interview yet?

I did the test and interview but my status remained "In Process" ... and then I got the FP request. I find it weird to get it AFTER the interview is done :/
Anyway, it's good to know someone is reviewing our files
