hi everyone,
is there a possibility for the PR Card renewal application to be returned if i didn't include a copy of the PR card along with the application. I called CIC and they said it shouldn't be a problem since its not mentioned in the checklist . However, it is mentioned in the application form.

In that case, is it possible to send in the application again just to save some time.

Personally I would send the application again with a note about why you are resubmitting and include a copy of your card. There may well be a chance you may not need to resend it but if time is a concern it may be a while before you get your application returned (if it is) and then there will be an unnecessary delay in resubmitting it and waiting for it to be attended to again. There are lots of reasons to think that there may well be further issues with Covid 19 and there may well be further impacts on workflows. I am risk averse and would be sending in an amended application but there are many others who are on this forum who might have more experience! WIth everything being so fragile at the moment I would be proactive!

considering the delays, will there be any implications to an expired PR card. Will it affect my employment.

As long as you are in Canada it does not really matter if your PR card is expired. You are still a PR. From my perpective the biggest impact on a person who is a PR but who's PR card is expired is with regard to travel. It is not possible to board a flight or any commercial vehicle traveling to Canada (as a PR) without a valid PR card.
Your job should not be affected if your card has expired.

There are many links on the website which can assist you. 'Check my application' will get you there. You can also set up your own CIC account and link your applications there.

I created an account and after I logged in and been trying to link my application, I answered all required questions and when I click on find my application I ended up getting an answer like this : , no application found

For some people that is the case - for others they can easily link the application. Perhaps others on the forum can guide you better.
