Applied for PRTD on H&C grounds in Jan 2020 by submitting documents & passport at the VFS center. Yet to get it. Everytime I contact them I am told it is under process. Online tracking on VFS website also says the same thing. Anybody facing similar delay?

Then search your application, and check your status
There is never an exact timeline for PRTD H&C applications. Some take a very long time to process and many of the Canadians working at the Indian offices returned to Canada. It looks like you have been in Canada since 2008 and left due to a family emergency so you have been out of Canada for a very long time.
No reply from PRTD covid email yet. same status. Application approved but no response to further flight boooking communication. His flight was booked for Sep 6, 2020. Looks like he will have to cancel his booking.
He also reached out from webform and got a weird reply that ' your file is at the local visa office' followed by the Covid-19 delay template. No concrete reply at all. I am wondering if any one here is in the same boat ?
Also, does anyone know when will VFS India open? He is losing time on Residency Obligation. Thanks.
Hi, to link an application to GCKEY what CATEGORY is to be selected from scroll down menu for PRTD application? can you share what steps you followed to link it to gckey? In the scroll down menu, it only mentions the following options - Permanent Residence, PR card, Temporary Residence, Temporary Resident Visa, eTA, Citizenship, Interim Federal Health Program. Bit confusing what to choose for PRTD application.
select permanent residence card and fill further details , it will search your application andyour application will appear, then select :- link your application to account, after that you can check your status
I have PRTD valid till Mid of September and I can't travel due to Covid and flight restrictions. I want to apply for new PRTD before first PRTD expired or after Expired.
Can anyone guide,
1 Is there be any issue if I apply for fresh PRTD while first PRTD is valid till Mid of September??
