I submitted a letter of explanation.
Hello Sir, if you have time can you help me, or someone can advise on what to do? I have the same situation but different case,
In the 2018 winter semester, I was a full-time student until the final exam, I took 3 courses which are 9 credits. I had 3 exams in a row, for the third exam I prepared the whole night and I went asleep at 5:00 am. My exam supposed to start at 8:00 am. I know this is a very silly mistake, I was ready to kill my self for this mistake. I tried to talk with the professor and explain that, but he said no (I kind of understand him). At the end of the semester, I switched from full-time student to part-time student due to the final exam that I missed, I got for that course UN (UN means when you miss important exams or didn't show up in class). Also, I was working at that time. Does anyone had this kind of case, and what did you do? What was the response from CIC? Did you get PGWP?

You registered in courses that put you in full time studies. Then it doesn’t matter I guess. No worries.

Do I have to submit an explanation letter? Or an explanation letter will attract attention?
It seems not necessary to submit LOA. People make mistake and get fail sometimes but it doesn’t mean they were part time student. As long as you registered in 9 credits per semester, you will get your pgwp with no issue.

Thank you, sir, for helping, I understand you, however, college immigration advisor says that I was part-time that semester, and I might get rejected

in your official transcript, you can see three courses registered in that term. Then immigtation officer will see that too. As a result, you granted only 6 credits as you missed one of them. But as long as you REGISTERED in three courses and it is seen in your official transcript, there’s nothing to worry about.

Hi, so i’m in tough situation right now. I submitted my pgwp application on 25th may, 2020. But it got rejected on Aug 3rd. Coz i was part time in fall 2019 semester with only 2 courses. My study should have finished in fall 2019 but I didn’t got the third course to complete my program due to long Waitlist. So i have to do that course in spring 2020. I did attached a letter of explanation with my application but without any proof. Thats why they rejected it. I reapplied for my pgwp on 13th aug and this time i attached a Waitlist for fall 2019, as a proof to show i did registered for three different sections of same course but I didn’t managed to get even one because the Waitlist for those sections was full. And also my college refused to give me a explanation letter. I also attached my fees slips to show all my expenses was covered by my parents and my intention in canada was to study not to make money .So my question is what are the chances that i’ll get my pgwp?

Hi. I can feel you. What was the duration of the total program? and were you registered in full time except the only one semester?

Hi, i was part time in summer semesters but that shouldn’t be a problem right? But except that i was full time in every semester for 3 years. But the only problem right now is that fall 2019 part time sem.

Okay. Have you worked during the part time semester?
