When should I withdraw my application?

Hello all,
My application for citizenship has been in process for a year or so and while re-applying for my PR card I noticed that I made a typo on the Physical Presence Calculator that puts me under the days required to be eligible by 30 days. I have sent the information to the CIC and received the following in response:

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided regarding the physical presence calculator and have forwarded it to the responsible office.

They will contact you if further information is required or if a decision is made on your application.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.
Would I be best to pre-emptively withdraw my application now and apply again or let them make their decision, withdraw and try again?

Thanks for your advice!

What was the typo?

It is pretty much guaranteed that they will send the application back. By chance if they don't, that's misrepresentation. I'd mail them another application asap, and write a cover letter, indicating what happened and that you are sending in another application.

If the first application is already in process, I think it's best for him to withdraw the first application before sending a new one.
As you said if IRCC decides to consider this as misrepresentation, things can be more complicated than simply sending a new application.
A forum member shared a story of a french man who ended up in court with IRCC for misrepresentation ( claimed days in the calculator that he was not supposed to claim) after he sent a request to withdraw his application, which was rejected by IRCC.

It is in process already, fingerprints had been done, I think it is at security clearance stage. I will most likely take this course of action. Thanks!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I put a 12 instead of an 11 on a month which means that I wasn't eligible by a month or so. (I left 15 days leeway but it turns out its not enough)
when you did that did a line appear in the form where it says Something like based on the Information provided you are elegible..? Or did it say not elegible.

When I corrected the error it said 'based on the Information provided you are elegible..?' and a date that was 30 days after I submitted the application.

Small update: I managed to speak with someone at the CIC and they told me because I sent a webform informing them of the mistake to wait for the processing office to get back to me before sending a withdrawl.

If on the day you signed your application and calculator you were not in fact eligible ( less than 1095 days) this is not going to make any difference. You still have a chance if the day you signed your application and calculator you have 1095 days or more even with the error you made ( you had enough days above the 1095 days minimum).
Good luck !

I definitely didn't have 1095 days after correcting the error. I am going to withdraw my application but wait until the processing office get back to me. Can't believe I didn't notice the mistake until now, it's been a year and a half... Oh well, such is life

Could you share the link for web form for corrections? Did you get your citizenship without withdrawal?
Please share your experience. I'm in a similar situation wherein I incorrectly wrote birth place in City of signing field.
