Becasue you're in Canada (physcially present in the country), you have nothing to worry about when it comes to the PGWP. You'll be just fine. Don't stress on itHi guys, I am confused and worried about my situation for getting PGWP, as there is a possibility for the Winter 2021 and Summer 2021 semesters to become online. I really appreciate it if someone can help me with my question.
I am a Master's student, and my semester status is like the following:
1st term: Winter 2020 (Physical classes)
2nd term: Summer 2020 (Leave of Absence)
3rd term: Fall 2020 (Online)
4th term: Winter 2021 (Assumed to be Online)
5th term: Summer 2021 (Assumed to be Online)
So, my total duration of studies is 4 terms (16 months), that about 12 months was online. (75%)
Will I be eligible for PGWP in that case? Note that for all of this time period, I would be in Canada.
Thank you in advance
""Students who have enrolled in a program with a start date from May to September 2020 and study online up to April 30, 2021....may be able to combine the length of their programs of study when they apply for a post-graduation work permit in the future, as long as 50% of their total studies are completed in Canada.""
