hi you have to contact CBSA hotline and state your case that you have a current job in Canada and you have letters to prove it then maybe your case will be better compared to mine.

But the problem is that will the agency give me proof. It's just an employment agency.

How to obtain the ircc and CBSA letter? How to prove travel is essential?

Hi sorry for the late reply, regarding the CBSA letter, it was actually provided to me when the vfs returned my passport after the visa stamp... and the ircc letter was the introduction letter I received thru email informing me that my application was approved.

When I travelled, they did not ask for any letter or proof that my travel is essential, it was not that strict that time.

I am from India I booked ticket in vandebharat mission in air India airlines. I have open work permit and my wife is there since 2019 as a student. According to the guidelines of our air lines they will allow those person who are having a valid visa of that country for atleast 3 months or in other case those having a valid job letter or student permit having alteast 1 month residual validity. I hope they will allow me

Hi Smitbhavsar,
you traveled to Canada ? any questions asked by Airindia or CBSA ?
My wife is working(closed work permit) there since 2019 and my daughter (6years old, with study permit) lives in India. Now my daughter needs to travel to Canada to stay with her Mother. She is traveling with her uncle (PR holder) on this july month.
She will be allowed to travel to Canada or not ?

Hi everyone. If we have an approved employer specific work permit, do we need to provide any proof while traveling, except the introduction letter given by IRCC and our passport with TRV? This is all that’s mentioned in IRCC’s website. But it’s confusing to me how airline staff would be able to distinguish open or closed work permit, and whether the employer’s business is shut down or not. I would appreciate it if you could advise.

It doesn't matter if you are on closed or open work permit. As long as you have contract of employment and indicate the contact number of the employer then that's fine. Airline may or may not contact the employer. It will be their discretion.
