PR Medical Extensions

We applied for our PR through Express Entry using the AINP. Full application was submitted in November and we should have been all completed by May of this year, however covid hit. We've been advised by IRCC that everything is valid but obviously no sign of our visas. I'm really concerned that our medicals expire in October and we won't be in a position to land before October if they suddenly issued our visas (which I don't expect to happen since borders are closed until the end of September!).

Does anyone know what IRCC's plans are with regards to expiring medicals? Have they clarified anywhere whether they will be extending medicals? I understand they can't issue visas at the moment due to the border closure, but the radio silence for outland applicants who've spent thousands on this process is really not good enough. Just some sort of clarification on their plans would be much more helpful for people and likely decrease the huge number of webforms they must be receiving!

This is also a concern of mine. My medical was done and submitted in the start of December. I am FSW-O and am worried about my medical as well. Whether we will have to retake the medical exam or will they give an extension. Anyone?

I really don't mind the delay in our application, I can totally understand it. What I do mind is that we've spent thousands on the process and i'm now concerned we're going to have to pay for the entire family to go through the medical process again. Surely as a government body they must have a plan for how they're going to deal with all the outland applicants who have been sitting and waiting for months now. It would be really nice to share those plans with us so we can all plan our lives accordingly too.

My wife and son are from Cuba and we are nov 2018 applicants. We did the medical in August of 2019. The government gave us an extension for a year on valid medicals . My lawyer ask for the extension and it was granted .
