AOR Received.
28-12-2017
Received the request for submitting the passport. All the best!
Congratulations! Great news!
May I ask if you've received any update in the account between Medical Passed and PPR? Has eligibility or background check status changed or anything at all?
Also, where are your parents from?
Thank you

Thank you. There was no update in between, the background check is still under process to be precise. But under the final decision, it has changed to "your application was approved". They're Indian citizens.

Congratulations!! Did you applied from New Delhi India, as you said your parents are Indian citizens ? Because my mom is in India and her application approved in July but the VAC are closed there so nobody received any passport request, m wondering if they start working??

Hello Guys,
I am about to apply for my parent's super visa. They are exempt from travel restrictions as I am a PR in Canada.
I am not sure if I should write Purpose of travel on IMM5257E as Super visa or indicate other and then mention COVID19 so that their application is expedited.
Please advise me how selecting COVID19 can affect their application.

Any help on this is highly appreciated.

Thanks!

UPDATE MY FRIENDS: My parents received medicals today for their supervisa application. A big relief for us. I wish you all good luck with your applications.
hi there, thank you for the update. I just want to check your timeline . My parents have received biometrics confirmation last June 1, 2020. After that no reply yet.

when did us start your application?

If you go to the IRCC website and check the Covid-19 updates section, you'll find instructions for those who already have submitted an application. You can send an email since you parents are exempt (email address provided on the website and details of what the email should include).
My parents had an application submitted back in March and after we sent that email in June (right after family members exemption), we received Medical request 2 days after.
However, their medical was passed in June and we still have no updates ever since! So things are super slow and frustrating!

Hi there! thanks for the info. I would just like to check what email have your forwarded to them so that i can do the same for my parents. We applied in May, received biometrics confirmation last June 1, and after that no updates yet.

I was hoping to receive Medicals request soon, by God's grace.

Hi All, I am planning to apply for Supervisa for my father who is in India . I see that VAC offices are closed. Can you please suggest how much time it may take. And do we need to wait for VAC to open up?

I applied for Super visa for my parents in Feb 2020, my mother finally passed the medical exam on Aug 4 ( She had to give the exam twice).
There is no update since then. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? Should I contact IRCC through any webform? or email?
Please help!

Note- My parents are in India.

I'm in same boat my parents supervisa applied in March 2020, Medicals passed on July 27th since then no update.

We sent few webforms, emails no reply at all. Just hoping to get something soon as they are planning for passport submission this week.

I understand this is frustrating. :(
I am thinking of sending an email to try my luck. What reason for travel did you give in the email?
I am a little confused about the following point:
"your supporting documents to show you’re eligible to travel to Canada at this time (for example, the application for authorization and statutory declaration for extended family members)"- what do I show here?

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/visa.html#existing

I didn't gave any reason just mentioned waiting for passport request. I believe you don't need any authorization for parents as they are under immediate family category.
