Query - Sponsored by spouse, but now separated. Will my Citizenship application be denied?

Hi Everyone,

I was sponsored by my wife and I came to Canada on 1st July, 2017. I have been a PR ever since. Our relationship my broken down and we have been separated for over 1.5 years now. She hasn't filed for divorce yet, but will be soon.

Originally there was condition 51 in my CPOR , where I had to live with my wife for a continuous period of 2 years. However, that rule has been abolished.

I meet the criteria to apply for Citizenship now. Will there be any problem if I apply for Citizenship, whilst being seperated ?
