Any insight on buying a medical insurance from India or In Canada for TRV applicant aged 70 plus ?

You should buy in Canada for the best chance of being reimbursed in a timely fashion.

I submitted a TRV application while waiting for our Family Sponsorship to be processed under OTHER = Family Support COVID-19 on June 30, 2020. My application was submitted electronically (Mexico City VO) and includes an ARC application. My biometrics were automatically linked (or appeared in my online account immediately anyway) but today I received a Correspondence that confirms the validity of the submitted Biometrics... Is this a sign they are just starting to process the application or is it further along? Does anyone know when in the process this is happens?

When do IRCC ask for biometrics after submission of application . On there website it says you get email within 24 hours after applying . Is that the case during Covid as well ? Anyone has any update ?

That is just an estimate but yes it may take a very long time. If your father doesn’t have his biometrics already done or requires a medical his application can’t be approved until those are done but VAC is closed.

NO , He never applied to Canada before .So guess I will wait for VAC to be open . DO biometrics given for UK work as He has done that before ?

Thats a great news Puja...As per my understanding the Visa Application Centres should reopen in the country...they will sent you a passport request letter to be submitted VAC for stamping they will forward that to New Delhi office....

You’ll need to wait until offices open. They may open in September. Expect a rush of applications at that point and likely not full staffing. You still must be an.e to travel based on the travel restrictions. It looks like you spouse is on a WP and you would need special permission to travel to Canada.

I got biometrics request for my father but vac are closed in India . Anyone know when those will open again ? OR any other solution ?
