congrats everyone getting DM
am sept 2018 still waiting Yesterday i called IRCC the agent told me no new update . My medical expired january 2020
The call centre reps are worthless, when i saw my status online in the CAS updated i called and they said they do not see anything as they see the same thing i see in the GCKEY account, i was like so i call you to tell me what i already know and he said basically. so if you wanna be stressed then call them if not just wait for the update in the GCKEY or CAS tools.. all the best.

Today finally I could take health insurance for my family.
The first benefit of having PR.
Wish all of the waiting friends very good news.
Where do you live? I know some provinces will offer health insurance as soon as you get confirmed as a conventional refugee. In Quebec, you have to wait for 3 months after your IRB's positive decision, but it's the same for anyone else arriving in Quebec.

In Alberta only protected person has insurance. My family is not protected. Today they could have insurance because of PR.

Deputy Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration, Mr. Dagenais
=================================================
We want to expose a flagrant mistake by the Deputy Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration, Mr. Dagenais, during an answer to a question posed by Andrés Fontecilla in committee yesterday.

⏱⏱⏱ Mr. Dagenais claims that the processing times of a family reunion CSQ are 62 days and that a waiting period of 7 months would be a special case. This is not true, according to the MIFI website, the department is currently processing applications received in January. So 7 months is the norm and not a special case, according to their own data.

Mr. Dagenais invites people with ′′ special ′′ cases, who have waited for more than 7 months, to contact the Ministry. Therefore accept Deputy Minister Dagenais's invitation and contact the Department if your waiting times exceed 7 months. cabinet@midi.gouv.qc.ca
According to the official MIFI website: https://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/fr/immigrer-installer/regroupement-familial/index.html
The Department is currently issuing Quebec selection certificates (QSC) for applications received:
In January 2020 for a spouse, spouse or common-law partner, or dependent child;

So we( Protected person) are also in this category or it just for the those who have family sponsorship cases.

Today i talked with Edmonton Immigration. The lady was very helpful and fixed the mistake of my copr immediately.
I learned that at the day of medical update actually we are passing the eligibility and then the gap until sending the copr is for the delay of local immigration offices. Busy offices have more delays to send copr.
Congratulations to you and others with the same testimony. I received the same update on August 17th, just checked my application this morning when I saw your testimony. But I haven't received my COPR yet, could this be the reason?
