Hi everyone,
I sent my file to Sydney back to May 2020, and not yet got AOR, and sadly my employer declined to help me extend my close work permit, and I am confused what should I do?
And I am really hopeless now about all the things happening...


Please help out.

Apply for Bowp with a letter of explanation saying that you will upload the AOR through web form later.
You may can apply online or paper, I'm not sure what would be the best form. You can also apply both on paper and online.

There are some threads about 'applying for bowp without Aor' with people who did it in the past, you may want to research in order to figure out some more detailed information/tips and also contact someone who had this experience.

Applying before your work permit would put you in "implied status" and allow u to keep working with the same conditions of the old work permit (aka: same employer).

And the only thing bothering me is, if when they working on my bowp case, and I still having got my AOR yet, then I will get reject....

It seems they are pretty slow on it (Bowp applications), I did read in the forum that many people who applied in January/March are still waiting.
I applied in June for Bowp and I'm as well just waiting. My company didn't want to go with closed work permit too, my only option was Bowp.

Just think positively and apply for Bowp that everything will work fine. Your application being sent this month will probably take more than 3 months to be revised. I can recommend an immigration consultant [https://jpimmigration.com/] (he may know good lawyer options), but I believe going in this direction (applying to upload AOR later) you wouldn't need it yet

Probably their system is programmed to do it and they can't change, I'm not 100% sure. But if u be exempt of biometric, they would refund you in some point from the process. I would say, just pay the bio-metrics and receive the refund later to avoid any headaches. Check how to do the Bowp properly, documents to attach, etc.. Maybe hire this immigration consultant to revise your application and make sure is all good. And good luck

In that document I sent u says that if you don't give up of the second application, that would be put on hold until the end of the process of the first application. And if your first application is refused, and the second you applied and got an "aor" for it that would keep u under "implied status" and the second application would be put on the queue for review (That's my interpretation from that document, not 100% sure, please discuss with a professional).

Are you mean applying BOWP online and paper base at same time?
And what do you mean "don't give up of the second application"?

- In theory you can send two applications for the same thing (maybe try to discuss with a profession/immigration consultant about it). Personally I would go with just one application and online, but it's up to you decide (the paper application for sure would take more time to be processed).

- It's explained in the document (read all the section for 'Procedures for the processing of multiple general applications'): https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/canadian-citizenship/admininistration/general-file-processing/procedure-multiple-applications.html --> In summary, what I understood (not saying that's 100% correct) is that they would accept a new application for the same thing, but they would contact the applicant to know if he/she wants to withdraw one of the 2 applications. If he doesn't want to withdraw any of the 2 applications, one of the application would be processed and the other would be put on hold (if he application in process is successful, the application in hold wouldn't be processed anymore. You're welcome. But, as I said, try to talk with someone more experienced, like an immigration consultant (or even a lawyer specialist in immigration if u still want) before choosing one option or another. I'm just a regular applicant that read the available information in the internet.
