Hi Guys!!

I just stumbled across this thread and it seems to be quite informative.
I have sent my documents to WES. They are still at airport. Man i wish i had done the evaluation earlier. But anyways,

1. Can i parallely ask my university to contact them over contact us form page and send documents electronically as i had send the docs through post as well?

2. How u guys are calling Wes. Through international recharge package or some app. I had noticed that few of you had to wait ~45 min. on the call. This will be a huge expense. And what is their phone no.

P.S. Hopefully for all of you guys, may your evaluation is processed at the earliest.
And kudos to @sara_H_JDT @Lulu69 @ashu2111 for keeping this thread to be informative and sharing your experiences.

Facing issues which trying to upload scanned copies of degrees on the WES site. This is after transcripts having been sent by my institute and updates as received by WES.

The PDF size is well under ten MB and is clear. Error message says site not able to read the file.
Should I email the PDF to Wes? Any troubleshooting tips appreciated

I had faced this issue as well. My degree was around 3 mb and in a great quality. But still wes displayed error while uploading. So what i did, opened the pdf, zoomed it out so that it can fit on the screen, took the snipping tool and crop the degree. Thus the pdf was converted to image format. Remember to change format to jpeg from png while saving. This truck did the work but qulity of the document was somewhat compromised. But it was still clear.

And what is their phone no.Just wait few days or to be accurate 1 month like us , do not call them , it takes time for package will be received by courier , within another method less than 1 week you'll get response, so try Electronically method

P.S. Hopefully for all of you guys, may your evaluation is processed at the earliest.

Hi @ashu2111 I am also using hangouts and added the toll free number u mentioned into my contact list. But in hangouts until or unless other person is not using hangouts, u have to invite them first and i am sure how would that be possible for a toll free number. :)
So can u pls elaborate on the process and this is an indian toll free number, so i tried calling directly on it. But it said it is wrong number. Moreover, this being an indian toll free no., how does it connects with WES canada?

That is strange man. Try downloading hangout caller from Google play store on your phone. Then try again!

Hi guys @ashu2111 @sara_H_JDT @Lulu69 i have a doubt. Please clear.

If we want to apply for alberta as they didn’t mention about IELTS score . And you are getting 70 points out of 100 in FSW point calculator but having overall 6.5 bands and 5.5 bands in reading. He / she still can apply having 400crs score?? Just for Alberta express entry.

Thanks

Hi
This stream allows Alberta to nominate a limited number of qualified Express Entry candidates. Candidates who obtain a provincial nomination receive 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, with an invitation to apply (ITA) soon after when Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducts a draw from the Express Entry pool.
and
Invited candidates in the Express Entry pool needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) requirement of at least 303.
and
Express Entry is the system that manages applications for three federal immigration streams: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates are then ranked according to the CRS, which awards points for human capital factors such as age, work experience, education, and language proficiency in English or French.
and
A provincial nomination awards candidates an additional 600 CRS points toward their overall score, which boosts them to the top of the pool to be selected in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
and
With special coronavirus measures in place, the AINP now requires candidates to meet the following criteria in order to receive a nomination:

  • be currently working in Alberta, even if they are working from home;
  • have a work permit authorizing them to work in their current job;
  • have a job that is full-time, paid, meet the provincial minimum wage, exceed Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) requirements; and they must work in an eligible occupation.
So what hypothesis we have here ?
Here , we are confronting with a CRS score , and any Express Entry as I know , has been elected their candidates thorough a this system which is tied to CRS , as a last draw's CRS on 17 June was 303 so yes with CLB 7 or 8 it is possible or as that band you mentioned earlier
But I suggest you seek expert's idea
Candidates may receive a NOI if they:

  • Have an active Express Entry profile in the federal Express Entry pool;
  • Have stated an interest in immigrating permanently to Alberta;
  • Are working in an occupation that supports Alberta’s economic development and diversification; and
  • Have a minimum CRS score of 300.
and finally look at this link please :

at the moment , they draw from whom are working/living there or have a valid job offer (LMIA) ,nonetheless,with this lower score in CRS point system , it has a value to apply , as much as I remember you're ling in Canada at the moment , so I suggest you go through a this program .
