Hey all, I submitted my PR application on Feb 11th. Couldn't give biometrics yet. I called CIC today to ask about the progress and they informed that, I passed eligibility, my criminal verification is in progress and security verification hasn't started yet. Can someone tell me what is a criminal check and a security check? And is the progress of my file slower than usual? (the progress bar is at 100%, although I'm aware this is based on average ETA)

Do you mind me asking which group you are in on your GCMS notes(On the 3rd Page)? And I assume your criminality is still In Progress yeah? Sorry I have a lot of questions

Biometrics appointment was cancelled.

I am at 91% (I know this has nothing to do with how much has the application been processed so far).
However for me,
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you.....
Review of additional documents: NA...
Interview: You do not need an interview...
Background: We are processing your background check....

When did these change for you?


I don't understand why they are issuing more ITAs when they already have so much backlogs and people who received their ITAs recently will compete for Biometrics appoinment with us when the SCOs open... meh!

And yes, criminality is still in process. They cant get that done without biometrics.

2. june 11: final decision pending South Korean certificate showing lapsed record

3. june 23: ( i gave the agent a call telling the agent i have included my LOE in regards to why i cant. Provide pcc with lapsed record) the notes saying: client contacted csc. Referral, miscellaneuous request for clarification on South Korean Pcc with lapsed record..

That is all i have got so far...

please any ideas??? Has been two months almost since the last update/notes

I submitted the background check only without the requested pcc with lapsed record as it is against South Korean law - the consulate/police station refused to provide. That is why i provided my LOE...

No need to worry, IRCC will have to do the BGC and they should revert back to you. Is your eligibility passed? as in by an officer and not a recommendation.

If it is, you need not worry.

I am satisfied on the balance of probabilities the PA possesses the experience as claimed. I am satisfied the applicant meets the requirement of A11.2 Met Selection EE passed. Medical exams: March 6, 2020 you passed the medical exam
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents
Interview: you do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes
Biometrics: March 12, 2020 completed
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Fina decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made

I dont know in which stage am I, I will kindly appreciate any interpretation of this info, also I dont know when would be a good time to ask for my GCMS if necessary.

Thank you so so much! I have been worried about the South Korean PCC with lapsed record certificate... and it has been pending for long.
i guess they are trying to verify the infor or try other ways to check my passed history in SK..

i guess i just need to wait

You can certainly raise a request for gcms notes at this stage to know the actual status of the application. The cic account status only changes when they make crucial updates.
