Need assistance for application regarding ECA

Hello All,

Hope you all are safe and fine !

Actually I have planned to apply for immigration to Canada through varius programs like PNP, AIPP, RNIP etc.

I have overall 7 years of experience working in MNCs in India in the field of Finance, Accounting and Customer Service.

I have completed my BBA (Graduation), a regular three year degree course in Finance from University of Calcutta.

Currently I am giving my final exams of Post Graduation exams this month. This course is a distance course from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (AICTE).

I am also practicing daily at home for IELTS exam which I will appear after my Post Graduation’s exams.

So here are my queries -

1. Do I need to get all the degrees accessed for ECA including my matriculation and higher secondary?

2. Will my Post Graduation be recognized as Masters Degree in ECA even though it is AICTE approved?

3. WES will be best choice among all the options for ECA?

Any other suggestions or tips you al experts have please let me know.

okay you mean only my Post Graduation degree has to be accessed in ECA and not the Graduation degree?

I want if some others can also provide their valuable inputs regarding my Post Graduation degree.
I am actually doing Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDBA) in Finance. My University is AICTE approved which means All India Council for Technical Education.

Please confirm whether it will be declared just a Diploma or a Post Graduation qualification in ECA?

As you are in accounting area, my two cents. When you access your degree, please access all your post secondary degree (i.e., BBA, PGs etc as it won't cost you extra fee from ECA point of view, but your expenses will increase a bit to arrange seal marksheet/transcript). I am saying this because, when you are in Canada, you might need to submit your accessed transcript for study or joining any professional association like CPA. At that time you do not have to go though the hectic process, but just request additional service to WES. I am saying this because, we are in Canada, my wife in an internationally trained accountant (at the final stage of ACCA qualification which can be transferred to CPA Canada as of now) and went to Calcutta University. We are not from India neither do we have any one in India (let alone in Calcutta) whom we can ask help to arrange marksheet/transcript from Calcutta. That is causing a big problem to get her B.Com transcript accessed from WES to join CPA Ontario, as they require CU to directly send her transcript. In previous, we accessed her transcript using ICAS to apply for her college, however CPA Ontario would not accept transcript accessed by any other agency than WES.

I shared our experience and suggestion was mainly to get well prepared for the future . I am sure you know your situation the best and can decide based on your situation. Best of luck.

For you other query, I have no idea about recognition of your degree. May be you can use WES's degree equivalency tool to get an idea.

You are welcome. One query though, if you plan to get transcript from CU, please do share your experience. If possible, do let me know before you visit their campus, as we are really curious how can an alumnus get his/her transcript or attested/seal marksheet if he/she has no one in India or Calcutta.

Probably it can be done online, I will research and let you know when I will go for it.

Till then waiting if some expert can clear my doubt about my AICTE approved University for ECA.

Thanks. No they do not have any online service, its shame that their emails do now work, you get delivery failure notification when you send email .

yes you ar right. I had just emailed them in the evening and it was a failure. I found some numbers are working and will try it tomorrow during office hours.

For you I can suggest that you should try MailTranscripts services, they are great and will do it for you without any hesitation trust me.

Hi Jagjit, Have you got your Transcript from CU by any chance ? If yes, please tell me the procedure (other than mail transcript), how to get staying out of Calcutta ?
