Currently, I am residing in Canada on a post graduate work permit.

There is a 24-weeks course at a DLI university that I would like to enroll.

Is it possible to enroll in this course with my work permit? Or do I need to deal with the Immigration Office again to get a permit blabla?

There were some info here, but not that clear to me:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/study-permits/who-needs-study-permit.html#courses

Short-term courses [R188(1)(c)]
Foreign nationals may enter Canada or remain in Canada without a study permit to attend a course or program of study of 6 months’ duration or less [R188(1)(c)]. This exemption helps to facilitate access to short-term courses, regardless of their subject matter. The course or program of study may be part-time or full-time and should be completed within the period authorized upon entry (i.e., up to 6 months).
While a study permit is not required for short-term courses, an officer must accept and process an application for a study permit, even when the duration of the course or program of study is 6 months or less [R188(2)].
Holding a study permit for short-term courses may allow students to apply later, from within Canada [R215(1)(a)], to renew or change the conditions of their study permit for further studies. Study permit holders may also be eligible to participate in work programs that are available to international students [R186(f) and R205].
The duration of the course or program of study is often a more important consideration than the number of months the foreign national intends to study. With the exception of exchange programs, even if foreign nationals plan to study for 6 months or less, if the course or program is longer than 6 months, they need a study permit.
While a foreign national may attend a short-term course or program without a study permit at a non-DLI, they may not be issued a study permit to attend courses at a non-DLI [R216(e)].

Looks like you've answered your question. Note that you typically can't count any Canadian work experience obtained while you were a student in Canada. It's not clear if this would apply to your situation but it's something to be aware of.

Thanks. How did I answer my own question? :)) Because I still don't know the answer!

You don't need a study permit for a course of 6 months or less. How many months is 24 weeks? You do the math.

Two things are confusing:

While a study permit is not required for short-term courses, an officer must accept and process an application for a study permit, even when the duration of the course or program of study is 6 months or less
What does that even mean? I do not need a study permit but I need to submit a study permit application?

The duration of the course or program of study is often a more important consideration than the number of months the foreign national intends to study. With the exception of exchange programs, even if foreign nationals plan to study for 6 months or less, if the course or program is longer than 6 months, they need a study permit.
The course is officially 24-weeks, but it's going to start in September 2020 and end on March 2021. So in practice, the duration will be 7 months.

And also regarding the point that you made, I'm curious whether the work that I'll do at the same time that I'm enrolled in this 24-weeks course will be considered as part of my work experience in Canada later for my PR application or not.

You can submit an application if you want to. If the course is longer than 6 months then you need a permit. You can't count work experience while you're a student toward a future PR application.

No this is not a matter of being a student toward a future PR application. I'm just doing this course for my own interests, it got nothing to do with the PR application.

Sure, but if you were a student in Canada you cannot count any work experience gained during that time.
Right, right. When I was a student studying full-time to receive my master degree.

I'm not really sure if I will be considered a student when enrolling for this short-term 24-weeks course.
