How long after receiving the correspondence letter for biometrics, do you receive an answer?

My GCMS notes just arrived. It was approved on the date that I received my biometrics correspondence. They already hold back the passport request letter for almost 3 weeks!

Congratulations, you at least know it has been approved which is good! Which country are you applying from? Which category?

Also, can you please let us know how to apply for GCMS notes?

Congrats, that is a relief for sure.

Do you mind pasting the part from the notes where it says your visa is approved?

I will order notes today as well.

It is very long. It says the counterfoil is authorized and notes the officer put says he’s satisfied with my situation.

This gives me so much hope. Our lawyer told us that usually passport request is received along with the biometrics correspondence letter. Which of course wasn't received in our case. But knowing that a decision has been made (positive, hopefully), is still good news.

Not sure why they are holding back passport requests, my wife's biometric correspondence letter was issued on 9th July. We have no update since.

Congratulations! I applied for study permit from USA on May 18th and enrolled biometric on July 14th. And had not received correspondence letter yet. When did u order GCMS note?

It might be because my visa center is Los Angeles instead of New York. Los Angeles will be closed indefinitely. Zzz
