Hi i am also applying for wintwr 2021 with family and 2 kids. Here are ny views based on my research doen so far:

1. It depends on how you put out your plan in SOP. There is no straight answer to this. You must clearky establish thta this program is going to help you progress in career im your home country.

2. Having dual intent is officially allowed but significantly lower your local ties and most likely to play a negative role in decision making by VO. I would prefer to close the express entry profile way before i apply for SP.

3. Vistor visa fine for your kid as hes below the age of being considered as a student. I would suggest don't apply for your mom with you. This will make your local ties look poor.

4. Having home and relatives does not actually proof local ties. Tdu to show relatively larger amount of assets if not your yours rather of your parents even in laws. If you can take sabbatical leave from study that will be string kocal ties IMO.

- So is it okay for May intake to withdraw the profile now? or sometime later?

Thanks for such a detailed view. However below are the points that i will consider.

1. Depends, if it's a business program then yes, if you are changing your career to something other than business then, maybe. Work experience is not an issue with regards to career change. I shifted from Hospitality to marketing and had 4-5 years of work experience in hospitality; I got approved. If you are going to apply for a marketing with an MBA and 9 years of work experience for example, then you are most probably going to be rejected.
- Planning for International business management course that will enhance my career in IT Management stream.

2. You can have dual intent, that is have both an Express entry profile and apply for a study permit. They will however examine your case more to see if you will leave if your PR application is rejected, this will mean that they can assess that you would not leave Canada if your PR application is refused. More scrutiny, but it is up to you.
- Thinking of withdrawing the EE profile just to ensure that this doesnt count to one of the reasons for visa rejection if at all.

3. It reduces ties to your home country, by bringing your family with you, and this would be a factor that they would check for your dual intent. Your mother is not counted as that would be a tourist visa. Getting a SWOP for your husband and bringing your child (not sure what visa children get) will add time to your visa application. There is a possibility of it being rejected and yours being approved.
- Is it a good option to apply with child , mother and me -since my kid cannot leave without me so i have to take him along in any case and my mother to help me out in initial stages on visitor visa. Is this a better approach, reducing the visa rejection chances.

4. When judging ties, they only see immediate family members. If you are married, that would include your husband and children to a greater extent to the rest of your immediate family. Also, any residents abroad would also come into factor, but you will not be rejected for having a relative in Canada.
- Will be option 3 approach be better to prove this? if yes after how long can i apply for my husband and how long will the process take so that he can join me in Canada?

1. I am not in that sector, if you think that a person would still go for that despite having an MBA, then you should probably be able to convince the visa officer of that.

2. That would be the safer option.

3. Like I said before, mother would be tourist visa so it would mostly be granted if your were granted. Children usually get the visa, since, obviously it makes sense that the child would accompany the parent. It's the spouse that's normally the problem. Generally, if yours is approved, then your kids and parents should be approved but there is no 100% on anything. You will have to apply for a study permit for your child if they want to study for more than 6 months.

4.One of my friends had applied together and got it approved, seeing that you have a kid, it's kind of obvious that you are not married for immigration purposes. All of you going would reduce home ties, but it's possible to get approved, but again no 100% is there. One you reach Canada you could apply for the SWOP right away, I don't think there are any rules regarding a cool down period or something. SWOP is a privilege, not a right so not everyone gets one.

I would suggest that you do what is convenient for you, if your case is genuine I don't see any reason why they would turn you down.

contrary to most popular beliefs, applying with your family with enough proof of funds and well written SOP or LOE is a strong case that you will not gamble your legal status with your family when in Canada to violate immigration laws and overstay as it is more difficult to be in that situation.
Moreover, Canada is even encouraging applicants to apply with family and even offer spouses to be granted open work permits while minor children free education.

Just don't forget to apply your children study permit also, no need LOA for them.

While strong ties or home country ties are more related to economic ties like professional work, business or properties than family ties.

Hi guys,
I want to apply for study visa with family (spouse and 2 year child), Total will be three applicants. I can do the required ielts which is usually 6 band or above, i can maintain required funds as well (don't know how much it would as of now), but my question is very basic, that is what is the chances of getting visa as whole family:

Visa is for one person, not for a whole family.

I'm a valid Copr holder after 18th March, can I use/show my maintained POF money for the purpose bank statement(as sponsor) of my siblings for Canadian student Visa, or I still have to maintain till I depart from Pakistan (keeping view covid-19 situation, i'm not confirmed about my landing). firstly, not recommended to include spouse and children in your application. If you do that then how are you going to prove family ties to your home country and motivation to leave Canada as soon as you finish your studies?

I'm sorry to hear that.

My case may not apply to your profile. You newd to think how can you develop your strength of application.
First thing first is you should join in the Facebook group called perspective bangladeshi studnets in Canada university. You will find all the guidance there. This is the best resource for BD studnets.

1. I had sabbatical leave from my employer.
2. My father's asset was appx 15 crore
3. My fund was 86lac
4.i travelled 13 countries
5. I'm a good tax payer.

All these played a good role in my application. Whereas i had express entry profile and I declared that. Plus my visa application with us embassy is pending for 19 months. I declared all these and yet o got the approval.
