I applied for my work permit (LIMA exempt) on May 7th from the US and still got no updates. I have got my biometrics collected when I applied for the visitor visa in Feb. Really worried since I just graduated in US and will not be paid from Sept.

Hi, I have not received the biometric correspondence letter yet. Actually, there is no update at all after I first submitted it on May 7th.

I suspect it takes more time to process applicants in the "background checks" process who are from some countries.

I think so. The status just said "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you." No change at all.

According to the IRCC website, they are processing only online applications at this time. They are only processing paper-based PR applications.

They only stop processing paper applications submitted after April. However, we submitted it in Jan.

Yes, I also saw some people said their application status has changed to "We are reviewing your eligibility requirements." But mine is still not changed. Fingers crossed.

Mine is also showing "We are reviewing your eligibility requirements" since 30th July. But I applied mid-Jan without biometrics.
