I have submitted my study permit application online for sep intake 2020. I also have deferral for jan 2021. I just want to know should i upload my new offer letter in my gc account or can i still get visa on previous offer letter?

you cannot upload the new offer letter after you submitted your application because uploading is restricted unless IRCC request new supporting docs.
what i know is if your visa is approved on the basis of your initial offer letter, you just bring the new offer letter with you when you enter Canada and present to Border officer if asked....if not asked you can just extend your study permit when inside Canada.
Anyone correct me if im wrong. :)

You are required to report any changes regarding your application. Raise the webform and upload your new LOA. It's completely ok.

Two students were rejected for not uploading their deferral offer letter so it's up to you uploading a deferral POA won't cause any harm don't fully depend on consultancy research from your side as well. Best of luck

Really? So how IRCC knew the deferral offer letter while the SP application is in-process ?
It's quite surprising the reason for rejection was not uploading the deferral offer letter.

here is from the other thread for your reference

you just need to bring the original and the deferral offer letter at the POE

Hi, all!! For some reason, I did not get hussainkestrel comment. But here I reply to both your questions. Finally I did not re-apply. I came to Canada with the original Study permit issued (but remember I had the new Letter of Admission from the college with the deferral date), so at the POE I showed everything as requested and they just remind me my Study permit expired on June 2018. So, like 40 days before the expiry date I applied for extension as well as Temporary residensy (it's done in the same process, your study institution helps in the process of getting the paperwork, or you may contact me via this forum when the time arrives) and it came about 6 weeks after. Mind you! One thing is the Study permit extension and the other is the visitor visa which allows you to enter/leave the country. That you have to renew it once your Study permit extension arrives.

So hussainkestrel andFMAS, you can enter the country with all the documents to present at request at POE (original and revised/updated Letter od Admission) and remember to ask for extension when it is the time.

IMPORTANT !!! Check the times for each of your countries as regards the extension application. Each case is different, so maybe you have to request with some more anticipation than what I did
.

Did embassy ask them for new LOA and the applicants didn't respond?
or they were rejected without any notice or e-mail?
