20% cases in Express entry

Hi Everyone,

Even we are facing the same issue the status bar in our application shows "this is taking longer than expected"planning to raise a case with the CIC to get an update on the same.

Any update on your application status?
My application is showing the same status.

Yup same. US green card holder, Indian passport holder, UK residence permit. No criminal record or even a traffic ticket. Guess my profile must be "way too impressive" for a 25 year old that they likely put me under security screening .
Can't confirm either way but it's ridiculous as to why it's taking over 6 months despite me providing accurate and truthful documentation.

Hello i sumbit my file on 13 nov ... now its showed 45 percent file is complete .. and itss under processing ur background check .. so is it going normal ... i need ppr urgently ... is there any chance of getting ppr early of 6 mnths

Doubt there is any way to expedite your application. They have a big backlog due to COVID..

I got AOR on Dec 12 2019 and it’s visa office in Edmonton if anyone is on the same date please reply if you got your application approved in my case they put me in 20% applications which is taking more than 6 months

It took 13 months for me + 1 month for passports to come back stamped from local VO.
AOR: November, 2018
PPR: December, 2019
COPR: January, 2020
I´m not a permanent resident yet, because of the pandemic I´m still in my home country.

My AOR was on July 4, 2019. 14 months later, I am still wait for PPR. Called IRCC 2 times, my application is still in background check, and has not been updated since July 4, 2020. IRCC did mention that they are gradually increasing the staff after lock down of the pandemic.
