Let's say you've applied for an express entry program and your work permit is coming to an end. You receive a bridging permit for 6 months.

1) What happens if your express entry application is refused 2 months later? Can you still stay in Canada for another 4 months?

2) Can one apply right away for express entry again if they're refused or if the one-year period expired and they didn't get an invite? In that scenario, can they extend their bridging permit again?

Thanks!

1. Yes.

2. You can create a new profile and if invited to apply again in time you may be able to get another BOWP.

If your work permit is expiring, try to extend your WorkPermit (normal work permit - closed/open) and dont apply BOWP.
in BOWP - there is a risk. if PR refused, BOWP becomes Invalid and you need to leave the country.
in Normal Work Permit(closed/open) - you can stay in the country if your PR is refused.
1) No
2)you have to leave once your PR is refused. you can create BOWP only after your AOR.
