No, i never gave biometrics, security is not dependent on biometrics. This is a myth.
Well. I don’t know if its a myth or not. But as far as I know criminality is based on PCC and for security purpose they need biometrics.
Lot’s of people have been waiting to provide biometrics so that their security gets completed. That’s why I asked how did you completed your security without it.
Nevertheless, congratulations!!

Two of others also got their security passed without biometrics, i think they are thinking of exempting inlands

I read somewhere, somebody called ircc and agent told him that they are thinking of exempting inlands
I am not doubting my fellow mates motive. I meant no disrespect but why would CIC helpline guy should reveal such things on phone if they are just thinking about biometric exemption. If somebody uses twitter can you pls ask on official handle if they can answer officially there

I just got off the phone with IRCC and they said that they won't accept previously done biometrics unless they were given for a previous PR application. However, as I wanted to submit my celpip results, even though they weren't in my documents checklist, I sent my biometrics receipt from when I activated a new work permit in January. Who knows, they may accept it.

for security check only thing they are waiting for is my biometrics. Seniors, what is going to happen? My visitor extension is expiring Aug 22,2020.

Call them on Monday, that's the only way you will know what's going on. Ask them for biometrics clarification if they have anything.

It means you are half way home brother, they will most likely waive biometric for inland now, or delay it for later on. Because on March 18 when they declared pandemic and closed service canada locations all over the country, they issued more than 35000 ITA of inlands since then and one regular draw assuming 25 % of it were CEC. Now they all need to give biometrics and if they just open up there will be rush for months and its not a very good idea for them to have hundreds of people in line risking corona spread and disrupting all other services there. So most likely they are processing faster than before and we all will have very good news very very soon. ALL THE BEST

Most probably they gonna exempt inlands, because i already have my security passed, three other people of may aor also have their security passed, so if security is passed without biometrics, most probably,PPR is on the way.

Absolutely, lets see how they do it. One thing is confirmed that they are not in mood of delaying applications with pandemic excuse.

Just keep us updated here please, my AOR is 15 May and I wont be able to know where my file is because my lawyer is lazy as heck, she would not update me untill i have PPR and she is discouraging for ordering GCMS notes too. So I am just living in parallel universe of you guys :p
