Just sharing my timeline and situation to help guide others.

I applied for my PGWP on May 3rd from within Canada. IRCC doesn't have my biometrics on record as I never had to give biometrics on previous temporary residence permit applications. My PGWP application was subsequently stalled when biometrics collection was put to a hault in Canada.

With the biometrics requirement now lifted, I'm waiting anxiously for a decision. Applications status is currently "In Progress".

Will inform you good folks when I receive a decision.
Has your eligibility review started already?

Where does it say "in progress" for you?

I've had the same message as you under 'review of eligibility' since the day I applied ("Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility. ")

My study permit and SIN number expire today, no updates on my PGWP, I applied on May 9th without biometrics. I'm afraid my PGWP will be rejected because my college won't issue an official transcript so I had to apply with the unofficial one + a letter from the college + LOE.

I also failed one course (general elective) on my first year, though "I made up" for it by taking another elective and passing it on the following fall semester. My completion letter shows I've been studying for 3 years and the transcript shows I've been taking 15-24 credits consistently. No part-time studies though it doesn't say anywhere I was a full-time student either.

If I get my PGWP rejected is there any way to continue working? Flagpole at the border?
It doesn't have to be an official transcript (the ones you pay the university a fee for) - just a 'final' transcript (as per form imm5583e.pdf). The unofficial transcript you can print online from your university account is fine - that's all I have submitted as well. It's the letter of completion that shows you have finished your studies successfully. The transcript is just to prove you were registered full-time for the whole period.

My transcript also has 15 credits consistently per semester and I was a full-time student so you will be fine.

It won't get rejected based on what you've said - but the short answer is no. Once a reject decision has been made on your PGWP you must quit working.

Applied 28 April with no biometrics, status changed to same 'in progress' message as everybody else once biometrics requirement lifted with no updates since. We are all in for a long wait so we should just check this forum once a week or less to stop our heads exploding.

Just to let you know guys, I submitted my PGWP on June 5th, and I have valid biometrics. My application is still in process. I shoot the IRCC an email, they got back to me that the offices are operating with reduced or critical staff only. So with or without biometrics, the wait is going to be long.

Good luck everyone!

Jus to confirm so your status changed from "submitted" to "in progress"? The other guy said his eligibility review hasn't started but the status changed to "in progress". Has your eligibility review started?

Hi All,
I applied for PGWP on Jan 30th and I paid my biometric fees on 8th. But i didn't receive a biometric invitation letter and I have not received my PGWP yet. I have completed MBA from public uni. I contacted IRCC multiple times but they say that I cant do anything. Is there anyone who applied in the end week of January or first week of Feb and in a similar situation. Any information/update is highly appreciated.
Thanks

Me too, I applied the 7th February and I got nothing. When I send webforms they tell me that because of covid the delay are longer and that my application is still being processed.
Hi I applied on 30th Jan without biometric. I paid biometric fees in 8th Feb but did not receive BIL. Have you received any update. My online application shows "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility. "

Are you sure you didn't receive the letter? It would be under "Messages about your application" at the bottom of the page when you click "Check full application status".
If you paid for it in February you should have gotten your biometrics done way back then.
