how far along are you? I ask because if I am reading the website correctly, there will be a 3 month wait to be eligible for MSP after moving from another province? I am not from BC though so I really have no idea if this is correct.awesome, thank you for the reply
I am upset with the fact that Ontario treats applicants in such a poor way=(
Are there other provinces like BC where an outland applicant can count on governamental medical insurance?
We applied in October 2019how far along are you? I ask because if I am reading the website correctly, there will be a 3 month wait to be eligible for MSP after moving from another province? I am not from BC though so I really have no idea if this is correct.

AIP is only granted with inland applications. OP applied outland. So no AIP and consequently why she needs to wait until she has PR.https://www.ontario.ca/page/documents-needed-get-health-card
According to the ontario website as long as you have Aproval in principle you are able to apply for Ohip. Though i would just put this out there for those saying that you have to wait till pr is done. No you do not.
i meant how many months into your pregnancy are you.We applied in October 2019
I am an outland applicant
My husband got a letter that he is approved as a sponsor in November
The file moved from Nova Scotia to Warsaw in December, also in December I passed medical test and biometrics.
Unfortunately Warsaw works very slowly. And somehow people who applied after me have alreadygot CoPR, whilst my application is still in process
not pregnant yeti meant how many months into your pregnancy are you.
Oh, okay, no issues then.not pregnant yet
we are just planning it
Okay my mistake then.AIP is only granted with inland applications. OP applied outland. So no AIP and consequently why she needs to wait until she has PR.
MSP sucks, up until earlier this year, we had to pay for MSP that I rarely used and when I actually need it, it does not cove all the costs.awesome, thank you for the reply

What do you mean by that? You had to pay under the new MSP? I didn't even know it changed.MSP sucks, up until earlier this year, we had to pay for MSP that I rarely used and when I actually need it, it does not cove all the costs.
Before January 2020, If you make above certain wage ( i think 30,000/year) you had to pay $35/ person (maybe cheaper if you have family) monthly for MSP I believe. What do you mean by that? You had to pay under the new MSP? I didn't even know it changed.
Yes, and we still do, it's just taken out of taxes our employers pay (many used to pay the MSP anyways) and general income taxes. Much like every other province. Before January 2020, If you make above certain wage ( i think 30,000/year) you had to pay $35/ person (maybe cheaper if you have family) monthly for MSP I believe.
But BC has partial pharmacare whereas as others have no Rx coverage.MSP sucks, up until earlier this year, we had to pay for MSP that I rarely used and when I actually need it, it does not cove all the costs.
AIP is usually right before you get PR so inland applicants may be able to apply around a month early.https://www.ontario.ca/page/documents-needed-get-health-card
