My Wife's OWP has been approved yesterday as per IRCC. We called them this afternoon.

Timeline as follows:

Application Received: Jan 09, 2020
AOR: March 03, 2020
Biometrics Correspondence Letter: July 22, 2020
Contacted IRCC on July 23, 2020 and they said that it has been approved on July 22, 2020

Congrats, could u pl confirm if online portal reflects approval ? or info was through a call centre ?

looks like owp are being approved same day as biometric validity letter issued - however online portal doesn't get updated

can u clarify

Thank You. We have received the information through Call Centre.

The only update we noticed: Review of eligibility changed to "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements".

I am assuming we will receive an online update sometime next week.

Do any of you know if it would be a bad thing to go get my Medical Exams done before they give me instructions to do it? I spoke with someone on their list who can do it, and just wanted to get it done for my daughter and I to get it out of the way.

You should either submit it up front when you apply or wait until you get a request. If the panel physician can do it without an IME number, you have to submit the report via webform. Not sure if it would get seen, etc.

Also be aware the medical exam will expire 12 months from when it's done. If the processing is significantly delayed by COVID, you may be asked to do the medicals again.

I've just got the biometric letter to pay the fee, my OWP was approved on jun 29th but haven't received it through the post, has anybody received the paper yet?
