No appointments available at ASCs for Biometrics

Hi All,

I am applying for a work permit for Canada from USA. I have a job offer and am now waiting to give biometrics. Does anyone know if the ASCs are taking appointments for biometrics? I have been looking at the appointment site and I do not see any available appointments. Can the ASCs take walk-ins for biometric collection? I am worried I will have to wait too long for an appointment and may lose my job offer.

According to IRCC’s website, they say that the ASC’s website for scheduling appointment is not working at the moment, so I guess that they could fix that today or tomorrow. Unfortunately, none of the ASC is taking walk-in at the moment. Best of luck!

Well, they asked me if I had an appointment but didn’t even look at the proof. I did schedule an appointment though.

You can try going there and tell them you have an appointment, they might just take you in.

I am not responsible for any consequences.
Use it at your own discretion. I am merely stating there is a loophole in the system.

Their appointment link https://my.uscis.gov/appointmentscheduler-appointment/ca/en is busted. It does not show any available appointments for the 22 ASCs in California. For the ones it shows it only shows 27 July (in the past now) and you cannot move to any other days or any other week. @Ln_ Do you know where on the IRCC website they say the ASC website is not working because it has been in this state for almost 2 weeks now. @Yqing237 On which site did you take the ASC appointment ?

I am sorry this happened to you. It says here. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/where-to-give-biometrics.asp
If you are a U.S. citizen and meet the conditions, then IRCC allows you to apply at the Port of Entry. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/foreign-workers.html
