Hi All,

i have applied for visitor visa extension to my mother. It is still in process. Now if my mother has to travel can she? Because her visa is already expired and do we see any issues at border? do they question your visa is already expired or so?

Thanks
Raj

She can travel but then your extension application is no longer valid.

I think what you are saying is that you have applied to extend you mother's status as a visitor in Canada. If you made the application before her 6 month initial stay was over she's on implied status in Canada. If you leave Canada while on implied status, the underlying application is deemed abandoned and is cancelled. So she can travel, but in order to return to Canada she would need a valid TRV (which is the actual visitor visa and is necessary only to travel to Canada).
"Because her visa is already expired and do we see any issues at border? do they question your visa is already expired or so?"
This question is a nonsense combination of visitor status and visitor visa and I don't really understand what you're asking.

No, they won’t question why her visa is expired. You already did the extension so she is currently on implied status.

They don’t bother with these things when you are leaving the country. They are more bothered about those coming in than those leaving.
