How to get transcripts from Anna University - Online

Hey everyone,
There are many posts here on how to get transcripts from Anna University, but I wanted to elaborate on the steps and the method I followed to apply for transcripts online.
This is the easiest way to get transcripts from Anna University Online.
I graduated from Anna University Distance Education and now I have applied for my transcripts for MBA.

On 22nd November '19 : Go to https://onlinetranscript.annauniv.edu/transcript/
Click on the Register option which is on the top right
Enter your Register number as it appears on the mark sheet.
Click proceed.
Note: this step is just to register and it will have no impact unless and until you receive a password from the university.
Once registered, you have to send a mail to transcriptenquiry@gmail.com to get the password. The email address will be given in the bottom of the website's home page.
Subject of the mail : requesting for password to log in online transcript website
Body of the mail:

I have registered for transcripts in the online portal.
Request you to provide me with Login ID and password for logging into the portal.
Please find below my details:
Registration number : XXXXXXXXXXX
Name : XXXXXXX
DOB : XXXXXXX
Education : MBA - (specialization)
College : XXXXXXXXX (Study Centre)
Department : Centre for Distance Education
Year of Completion : XXXX

On 25th November '19 : I received a response from CoE AU, though I had to continuously follow up over calls. I contacted transcripts department through phone (landline number of transcript office is provided in the website home page.
So the response said: "Your request has been processed. Kindly register again set password and apply online to collect the Transcript in person or apply by post"
They routed me to another department. Mind that the landline is either busy or keeps ringing, you must be patient enough to keep trying to call them if you require the password ASAP. Else you can be cool and wait for 2 working days to get the email response.
As soon as I received the password I went to the website and click on register option.
Now it will ask for the details, some will be pre filled. Just check if those are correct.
In my case I did my MBA in part time but the pre filled info said M.B.A [FT]. Not sure what impact it will have in the future. I will update if there are any difficulties caused because of this.
Once we fill in all the info and proceed our log in and password will now be ready
Click on the log in option and enter the log in ID (which is our Reg. No) and password

Scroll down and click on the apply transcripts option
this page will ask us to select the documents that we require and it calculates the amount to be paid accordingly. I selected on these three options :
1. Transcripts & Degree Certificate Attestation (850/-)
2. WES form Authorization by University (300/-)
3. Non issuance of individual Mark-sheet Attestation (Notification Letter) (300/-)
Note : If the continue option is not enabled, untick and tick the checkbox, it should work fine.
Click Save and Exit. Log in again if required.
Click continue once you have selected the required documents

On 26th November '19 : I uploaded the documents, it took half day to figure out how to scan as per the instructions given.
Document upload page: Here we will have to upload the documents that are listed.
Please read the instruction attached to each document and then scan your documents
Prefer scanning the documents with proper system scanner especially for the Consolidated Mark sheet and Degree certificate.
The Consolidated mark sheet must be in the A3 size as per requirement, direction to change size are given in the instruction. Use Docupub website for making this size change.
Documents like ID proof, DOB proof, passport size photo can be scanned via mobile apps. do not use Cam scanner as it ill not be accepted.
WES form and Course completeion certificate should be merged and attached as 1 PDF. Distance education students will not have TC so attach the Course completion certificate.

Note : If you have not collected, contact the study center over call and enquire about the same. If they still have it in the study center they will get it searched and give us a call once found, we can collect them.

Next option is enabled only after we attach the documents
It will take us to the Dispatch section.
Select - By Post option (as WES accepts documents only if they are sent by the Universities)
Select - Institution Address
In the text box enter the WES Reference Number : XXXXXXX and
then the address : World Education Services
Attention Document Centre
2, Carlton street, Suite 1400
City section : Toronto
Postal code section : M5B 1J3
State : Ontario
Country Select Canada

The postal charges will automatically get filled and we will see the total amount to be paid
Click pay now
Pay the amount and we will receive the payment status as success.
Click on the Go Back option, this will take us to the home page.
We will be able to see table which shows Transcript request number and other details.
Under Action : Click Generate PDF option, we can download the acknowledgment of the application.

Now i am waiting for the transcripts to get ready and to be sent to WES.
Will post further update as soon as i see progression

On 16th December '19 : Got a mail from COE Anna University Transcripts department mentioning the Speed Post tracking number.
With this detail we will be able to track the package in the India Post website.
Note: It will take two days from the date of booking to get the tracking info in the India Post website. I was able to Check it on 18th De evening only(after 48 hours).

Once we see the status that the post has been booked at "Anna Road H.O" and the Mail category as "Air", It is better that we track the post via https://www.canadapost.ca/cpc/en/home.page.
We can see accurate and timely tracking when compared to India Post.

30th December '19 :
Finally the parcel reached Toronto and was sent to Customs.
5th January 2020 : Item dispatched for delivery
6th January 2020 : Item was delivered to WES

11th January 2020 :
By checking the track my package I got to know that they have updated the receipt of the documents.
Status: In progress
We are processing a new package or document for your application.
Evaluation In progress
Our document specialists are processing your new document(s).
You are not required to do anything at this time.

Note: Website says 24-48 hours for updating the receipt but it takes longer...

Hi All,

I submitted the transcripts thru online portal - The documents were sent to WES but only degree certificate was accepted and statement of marks were rejected.Anyone faced the same issue? Kindly help

Hi. Pretty detailed blog on applying for transcripts, Helped a lot. Have a small query. Is transfer certificate mandatory?.

I applied online not it is showing "Post Sent" I didnt get any SMS or Mail about my document sent

They gave tracking number.. where to check that?

@AishKrish, did you get an equivalent of a master's degree or a diploma from WES for this MBA distance education?
