Hi guys,
This forum has been a huge help from starting our application to ensuring we don't miss out on necessary information. I now need some help on getting more information on travel. I have a student permit and my spouse has a SOWP. We are currently in India, my spouse has been applying for jobs opportunities and appearing for interviews. There's an opportunity that might materialize provided he joins in September. My classes start from September and are online.
We read on the IRCC website and it says that an OWP holder can enter if they are able to quarantine and have a valid job offer letter. But I don't think I will be able to travel because people are saying that CBSA has deemed online classes non-residential.
In this case can we both travel? Is he allowed to travel alone, if I'm not allowed? Because he received the OWP because I'm a student and this would be our first visit to Canada. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated as it would help us reply to the job opportunity. We don't want to sever the ties with the employer by saying he will join and is unable to in case they have future roles. Thank you for reading my long post. Look forward to any responses.
