I received a call from a "No Caller ID" private number on July 10th 2020 asking if my schedule was suitable on July 21st to take a virtual ceremony and the agent asked a couple of information like previous phone numbers , address etc. Since IRCC always contacted me through e-mail I wasn't sure if this was an actual call from IRCC or was a scam but I confirmed that I can attend the ceremony.

Yesterday I received an e-mail subjected: "Notice to Appear: To take the Oath of Citizenship – by video" which included instruction for the oath on 21st July. It seems fine but unlike all the other e-mails I have received from IRCC , this e-mail is from an address name.surname@cic.gc.ca

I logged on to cic.gc.ca and check my application status ; the last update is decision made and that I took the Citizenship Test on Dec 20th 2019. Shouldn't it be updated to show that Oat is scheduled for July 21st ?

I find this confusing , can someone who already attended a virtual ceremony confirm if their process was like the above ?

Congrats for the virtual ceremony invite. This is normal.

I am scheduled for the oath on 30th July and my ecas still shows the status as decision made with the last update about the test taken in March.

I had my virtual oath on July 3, and my ECAS wasn't updated until 5 days after it was done - with the date of me becoming a citizen. It didn't even show when the second, virtual oath was scheduled. Don't worry, it'll update to Complete once the oath is done. Good luck!

Congratulations. I got call on 13th July 2020 for virtual oath on 22nd July but till date neither my ecas is changed nor I received any email
from IRCC for sending forms and link. Will you please share as to whether after you received call from IRCC on 30th June, have you received
any email or not, If you have received email will please share how many days email was received by you in advance to 6th July 2020 your virtual
oath ceremony.

Yes there is a link with with Meeting ID and password
