PCC from Tamil Nadu/India

I know there's separate thread going for India PCC, but want to get more details on PCC from Tamil Nadu. Anyone here got PCC from Tamil Nadu recently. My PCC application is pending still with status "PCC application is under review at Passport Seva Kendra." for more than 4 weeks now.

I've reached out to Local police station, they confirmed that its been processed from their end and file uploaded. When reached out to PSK, they say its with RPO. unable to reach RPO. Not sure how to track this.

No updates, looks like RPO Chennai is closed until Aug 1.

For the most part, I think your local police station has not yet submitted the PCC clearance in the system.
"PCC application is under review at Passport Seva Kendra" means your PCC verification is still pending and not-cleared or not-submitted by your local police station.

For my application, they said they will clear it in 1 or 2 days but I had to follow up multiple times via phone from Canada and also requested my parents to call the police and request to submit the clearance. Eventually, they did!
One thing to note in Tamilnadu is that the local police are busy with COVID-19 situations so they are not prioritizing non-critical requests like PCC. I know its critical for but they may not understand that.

I think all you can do is to persistently follow up, once you PCC is cleared by the local police status will be changed to "PCC needs to be collected from RPO"

I haven't got it yet, it's in-transit from BLS to my address, I am hoping to get it this week or early next week. I have already submitted my profile with LOE, so just planning to use web-form and upload after I get the PCC delivered

My brother went to police station today again, they said the same that they've processed my files. They are saying they dont know where the file will be moved next, either commissioner office or SP office. This is getting frustrating tho.

For me, it took 3 days to change status after they said they processed. Wait this week, if you are not getting it try to go to the station and ask them to speed up the process. Again, you need to work with local police, no other way. Try to understand if you find other ways to speed up the process.

Hah! problem is they are saying they already proceed it, they can't do anything more from their end. As you said, I'll have to keep checking with them.

As you see it was pending from 8th of July, I understand from your updates that we need to follow up with the police station.
1) Can I know how to get the police station contact numbers? As I am not in India right now, need to follow up with them over phone hence the mode/way to contact them for follow up.
2) Unfortunately I dont remember the police station which I chose while filling the application, do you know anyway through which we can figure it out (it might be SRMC police station or Porur Police Station)
3) Please also advise on some other steps/advise from your end which I need to do to expedite?

3) Please also advise on some other steps/advise from your end which I need to do to expedite? - As Hari said, you will have to follow up with local police station.

Thanks for the information, based on your advise I contacted the Commissioner office yesterday they informed that my file is not received yet.
Today I got e-mail notification saying Police Verification Request has been sent to the Police department.
Hope now the file is moved to commissioner office. Do I need to follow up with commissioner office and local police station now? Please advise.

BLS profile submitted on 30th June,
Passport Seva application received on 8th July,
received e-mail notification that police verification request initiated on 22nd July,
not sure till how many days it may take.....

Latest info I got from local police station is that My application was submitted with some mistake, cop said he resubmitted it today and it should clear within next couple of days. I'll need wait this week to see how it goes. SMH!

Finally my status changed to PCC needs to be collected from the Regional Passport Office., I had to follow up with commissioner office to get the updates. Hopefully will get my PCC this or early week.
