Police certificate from several countries

I'm a U.S. citizen and I'm trying to apply for the Express Entry program. In reference to a police certificate, I will obviously need a certificate from here in the States since I've lived here most of my life. But for two years I lived overseas outside the States from 2017 to 2019. Do I also need a police certificate from that other country or just the one from the U.S.? Also if I get a certificate from the foreign country now, would it even count since I left back in 2019 and the certificate will be valid for three months only?

A PCC is generally accepted for at least 6 months, a year on some checklists, but if you produce a PCC that was issued after the last time you left the country, it does not expire.

Oh really because from what they have told me it's valid for 90 days but since I'm already out the country I'm assuming it would not expire. Am I correct?

I'm not sure 'what shouldn't matter'. It's how the process works. Any country you've lived in continuously for 6 months or more since you turned 18 requires a police clearance. The requirement to get a PCC isn't affected by when you left (except in terms of validity as explained above).

Hey it's a figure of speech. Obviously, I know the requirements I was unsure if it matter that I got the PCC a year after I left.
