Hello everyone,
Please I need sincere answers on my case, thank you.
I am in the pool with unaccompanied spouse at 468,
but with my spouse added we will be on 461 .
If you were to be in my position will you continue the process as unaccompanied spouse or wait for the scores to drop to 461 and everyone moves together ?
NB : I am currently running master hopefully I get done by August 2021, which is also my birthday and I start losing points for my age.

If I were you, I would remain in the pool with unaccompanied spouse and receive an ITA whenever the score hits 468 or under. Then, I would simply wait and watch what the CRS trend is before accepting the ITA. If there is any possibility of the score going down to 461 or below before deadline to accept the ITA, I would just decline the ITA, and add spouse to my account to get another ITA in the next draw. Again, this is just my personal opinion.

Even i stand in the same situation..with spouse 453 n spouse non accompanyingv472 ..
But ive heard that one can add spouse even after getting ita like if the score comes around 453 then at that time we can add our spouse..this is one option
Other option ive heard is that,go non accompanying stay for 2 months n then apply for spouse PR ,come back to ur home country .once the spouse gets pr then happily move with entire family..

This is what i was advised by my consultant..

Correct me if iam wrong and kindly share your views on this

Hey friends,
I am at 478 and missed last draw due to tie breaker. With spouse it is 471.
Should I update my spouse details or should wait with 478?

110% u will be receiving ur ita with 471 in next two or 3 draws..with 478 in the next draw so either ways you are pretty much strong
U can go either ways

Of course, you can add your spouse to your application anytime between AOR and CoPR but only if you were single at the time of your PR application submission. However, if you were already married and applied with non-accompanying spouse option, you can NOT add your spouse to your application at anytime. You will have to wait until you get your PR, and have permanently moved to Canada, then sponsor her for PR as your spouse. I think getting an ITA with accompanying spouse is just gonna be faster than the non-accompanying option because this way everything will be processed for you both simultaneously. So I would still prefer the accompanying spouse option over the other even if I have to wait a little longer. However, by no means, I am suggesting to add spouse right away and tank your CRS score. I would simply receive my ITA with non-accompanying spouse first, then just wait without accepting or declining and watch the CRS trend. Hope this makes some sense.

I would probably go ahead and add my spouse 'cause 471 is always gonna be a safe score unless they hit another break. Again, this is just my opinion. Also, you would always have the option to go back to non-accompanying spouse if you ever felt 471 wasn't enough, however, that will never be that case I hope.

I really wasn't aware that with unaccompanying spouse scores increase. I should kill my Consultant.
With my husband our profile is at 468 and without him its 473, what would you guys suggest. Also my younger brother is also in Canada (doing his masters and is currently working in a firm and I can stay with him for some time). Also is the process of moving alone and applying for a PR later cumbersome ?? Please guide as I never knew this was a possibility. Or maybe guide me if there is more information available elsewhere.

After realizing you can’t trust the opinion of an specialist, do you come to a forum to hear the opinion of some random person?
As for all of us, this is your life project, the future of your life could drastically change depending on how this process ended up being. Don’t you think you should own it?
Sure, we all should always look for pieces of advice and learn from the mistakes of others, but: after that episode with your consultant, have you even tried to open the official CRS criteria page and study it? Have you read all the sections of the express entry at the Canadian government website? Have you tried to simulate possible CRSs using the official CRS calculator? Google is your friend, take advantage of it.
This is as honest advice as I can give it to you: study the process, own it. Otherwise, 3 months from now you’ll be complaining all over again because you trusted on the words of user WantToBeCanadian7856.

NOT TRUE!

One can add his/her spouse into the application at anytime (whether he is already married /or got married only after the submission of his PR application).

Let me tell you "How does it work?"

In the first case "where applicant is already married but applies as unaccompanied spouse and if later he plans to add his/her spouse into the application, his/her scores will be re-calculated. Consequently, If his scores would remain greater than the draw cut-off (during which he received the ITA) he would be fine, otherwise his application would be refused straightaway incase the score is found to be lower!"

However, in the second case "where applicant gets married only post the AOR, his scores are never re-calculated."

So, plan the things accordingly and carefully.

My posts are being deleted by the forum management. They are either scammers or intolerant to different views.
The reality is that the FSW system is rife with abuse though it is a small number. The impact is undeniable though. Legitimate immigrants are hurt by this process who end up using it to make a side hustle income while claiming to assist people. I have met. people who paid upwards of $20k for an LMIA to help themselves gain PR.
