Hi Guys, I have been a silent reader here.I finally got my COPR

CEC Inland
AOR- Dec 14, 2019
COPR- July 07, 2020
VO - Ottawa

I asked for web form twice, in April and June

I am happy to answer any question you might have
Wow congratulations. How many ghost updates did you notice before you finally received your COPR.

Sorry, I'll bring it up again.
I got the below response from my latest webform enquiry.
  • The background verifications are currently valid.
  • The security background verification is currently valid.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
Is it almost approved? Do you think it is safe now to pass a resignation letter? I have 2 months notice period and my passport will only be valid for 6 months in October (which is the least requirement to travel to Canada).

I dont think you should assume that u can travel by October. As everything is valid, u will definitely get PR but cant predict timeline now. If u r ok to survive without job for couple of months, then u can risk it. Atleast wait til July end, I feel there will be some movement soon .. Just a gut feeling though.

Whats ur AOR, stream and country of residence?

With the current delays in processing, people waiting for PR in uncertainty for several months past their due date, border closures, job market, and health situation - I wouldn’t submit resignation until I know for a fact that I can travel to Canada (if I was in your situation).

I relocated to Canada beginning of this year from USA with job offer. It took me two months to get settled fully even though I was provided relocation and similarities between USA and Canada.

In current situation I couldn’t imagine someone coming in finding a job, residence, banking, driving license etc. and settling down. I could not.

For example: I was able to transfer my USA license to Canada and no driving test. But people coming from other countries need to. There are no drive tests conducted now and very heavy lines is what I heard in the offices with people trying to enquire regarding driving license.

This would hold good for other services like health care too even say you are willing to take public transportation instead of driving here.

Not trying to discourage anyone but you may be safe where you are with your job and residence. Once borders and offices open it will be safe to travel here. Just my suggestion based on my experience.

A decision has been made on your application and most likely it has been approved. Just wait until IRCC starts sending out approval emails and figures out how to issue issue visas or e-visas.

Just received webform reply of status:
eligibility met
security background check valid
criminal background check valid
File in HKVO

Hope everything is fineGood luck to all
I sent webform to HKVO yesterday and received the reply below:

This message is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong.

Please be advised that your application is in queue for review. Our office will contact you with further instructions or a final decision once the immigration officer’s review is complete.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Any one has idea what does "your application is in queue for review" mean? Is it a normal step before ppr or does it mean that special review is required for my case?
Thank you all and I look forward to your ideas.
