Visitor extension and sponsorship

Hi. We're planning to submit a spousal sponsorship soon and we're waiting for my visitor extension since I can't go home to my country because of COVID19. Is it possible to process my spousal sponsorship without the extension?

Yes you should actually submit you sponsorship as soon as possible and send in a webform showing proof that you are sponsoring your spouse. That will help your visitor extension approval.

Wouldn't they require document in the spousal sponsorship about the visitor extension like the approval?

And also, wouldn't the spousal application overlaps the visitor extension application?
