countries that taught you about human rights you are venting your frustration out on same countries. how about practicing the same in your home country.
How about you practicing " How not to make derogatory comments on others"!

CIC website says the TRV I've applied for has a processing time of 19 days. When I applied it was 11. It's been 19 days. Not a single update.

Also, "Last update: June 30, 2020 Updated weekly". Huh? It's July 9. What a mess.

Their process clearly needs more automation. Simple tourist visas for spouses shouldn't be so complicated. As if the people assessing the applications can really tell who is going to overstay and who isn't, anyways.

Tourist visas for spouses are actually not simple because most are not temporary visitors. That is why most are denied. There would be no point in having an outland process if every spouse could get a TRV.

Unfortunately immigration fraud exists. Once you enter Canada it is very difficult and costly to deport someone. If every spouse was granted a TRV it would create more incentive for marriages of convenience only to secure PR. This is another reason why spouses are not automatucally given a TRV.

They are working on updating all the system actually. Lots of antiquated systems in Canada.

Hey, do you work for IRCC? I am being serious, if you do then please let us know what is going on in Sydney? Why not even one AOR1 has been sent out for Outland Spousal Sponsorships since March 13th? I agree COVID-19 has impacted the processing but it has impacted this much that there has been no progress made in almost 4 months.

Please we beg you start processing some apps. Understand our situation. Is marrying abroad a sin?

are you allowed to go to Victoria or vice versa? do u realise things have changed since march. we are going through a crisis known as corona virus . only option for you is to wait it out patiently.
No we are not allowed to go to Victoria but I do work for my company and have their projects moving on. I am not talking about travelling.

visa is a privilege not a right. one should be thankful at least IRCC is processing visas and allowing international travel .
I paid over 60k in tax last year alone to the Canadian govt and I continue to pay the same during COVID19. what privilege? why should I be thankful?

Advice are always free here is mine, take a deep breath and do something useful

Paying taxes is part of living in Canada. Doesn't lead to special priviledges just access to services and infratructure in Canada.

No don't work for IRCC. How do you know no AOR has been sent out since March 13th? Only a small fraction of applicants post on this forum. AOR was taking around 8 weeks before covid so I would imagine some will be receiving AOR soon. I assume there are bigger issues being discussed like what to do about the fact thst VACs are closed in many countries. How will the inability to get biometrics done or medicals that can't be done be dealt with? Where will processing be done in places where embassies and consulates are still closed. When there are emergnecies Canadian workers and their families are instructed to return home. Families go first but I would assume only a skeleton staff, if any, are left in some countries with very high covid rates and a medical infrastructure that can't deal with covid. This isn't as simple as it may seem.

Processing applications faster isn’t possible without hiring more people and having VAC and embassies/consulates open in other countries. It is just not realistic.

Hi! I was waiting with patience to arrive to the processing time for the tourist visa that was on the official page for my country ( I applied in june 26th) and it showed up 24 days at the beginning of this week. The thing is that when today I reviewed if the processing time was being the same, my surprise is that they changed to 101 days in the actualization of july 7th!!!! how convenient this is for them!!! I feel so frustrated now. Feeling that in 3 months more they'll change to 200 days and like this successively. Even I don't know if the visa will be approved or not.

I'd like to know if you are at the same situation I have and if you have tried here writing to the email: IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca that was showed in this page: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/apply-visit-work-student.html#visa-applied

If you’ve already applied for a visitor visa
Step 1: Email us at IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca to tell us
  • you have an application in process
  • how you applied for your visa — online or by paper
  • your application number
  • your unique client identifier (UCI)
  • where you live now (current country of residence)
  • how you’re eligible to travel at this time - If you’re outside the US - If you’re travelling directly from the US
  • provide proof as an attachment in your email
    • For example, if you qualify as an immediate family member of a Canadian citizen or Canadian permanent resident, you can provide one of the following:
      • a letter of support from your family member
      • your birth certificate
      • your marriage licence
      • a letter from your spouse, partner or parent
If you have had either good/bad results writing to that email please write your experience here... Just for you to know I also applied for the sponsorship residence which is also stopped, I made my biometrics last year (for a visitor visa application which was denied), I wouldn't care to go to another VAC center of other country if I need it (if the visa gets approved and VAC center it's closed in my country)

unfortunately rock age is gone. family is really important totally agree . how about bringing your spouse back to where you are instead of you trying to go to Canada until things are back to so called NORMAL instead of NOVEL. i am sure once everything gets settled and you all start your life in Canada each and everyone of you gonna forget all this time. if you really care about families and its fundamental rights should do something about it to bring some changes in visa laws. nobody cares in good times.
Because I AM the canadian sponsor, and I can't leave because I have a job here and because I am a permanent resident I can't go to her and wait out the sponsorship outland. Nobody cares about families and their fundamental rights until it's your family they're ruining. I wonder what is your angle in all of this? are you sponsoring anybody? why are you so content with having everybody wait out patiently while being in the dark about our processes?

Processing times were only estimates and it was clear that the posted times were very inaccurate. It is nice to see that the times were updated so people have realistic expectations. Nothing has changed for you. The processing times were always that long the website just hadn’t been updated.
