Thanks!!

I just read about few steps that you were answering for Billy and I did not get those questions. Mine was a general web-form.
So I got worried. May be I missed something.
If you use the below link, it directly takes you to webform page and doesnt give the option to select LVO.

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

However, if you go via below link, it will ask you the details Billy queried about. Ultimately this once also gets redirected to the above page only unless you have selected a specific LVO, in that case it will redirect to LVO's webform page

Friend, a hypothetical case, what if we go there, complete the self quarantine and spend another 10 - 15 days to do banking, SIN etc and return after a month if we don't see good prospect to get a job? A fair deal?

IRCC has never guaranteed for 100% extension of COPR and no one knows how much time it would take (what happens if there is second wave of COVID). In such a scenario, we as COPR holders need to play safe within the existing protocol.

Any other views please?
Hi Mutha123,

Yes in my opinion I think that is a great perspective. Not only is it safe and sound but also in the true Canadian spirit of things. Full of integrity and thank you for bringing that in. Practically this is the best effort one can put in. As well as look after our own survival!

Time will tell, but if you do decide to land, how nice a pleasant surprise it will be when you land a job even if a survival one! Boon is, in Canada those survival jobs come without mental stress, anywhere close to what one faced else where! :)

Would love to know your success story, here in Canada, right in 2020!

Issuance of SIN is taking longer than usual, definitely more than a couple of weeks. I think if you change the definition of soft landing you can play safe. One way to do this is wait till your PR card is issued.
What's harm in starting life from a labour job? If someone is doing just fine in India, IMO it's better start there from scratch. In most cases, it's hard to digest for white collar professionals to do blue collar jobs.
International students who did part time jobs whilst studying in Canada don't mind to start over after receiving their permanent residence.
Most cases who were denied extension were before countries shut their borders and flights were grounded.
Couldn't agree more with every aspect of the above! Well said, @wick_sran :)

Hey Guys,
Is there any special web form that we need to fill for extension? My visa expired on June 7 and I have already raised 2 forms before and after the expiration. I got the reply both the times assuring me that my application won't be refused or cancelled and new COPR & Visa will be issued in due course.

Do I need to raise any special extension form?

Please help
Thanks
Did they reply mentioning new COPR and visa will be issued?

As said in previous post, I raised a webform telling IRCC of my plan, including coming back to UK after 3 weeks and asked them to let me know if I cannot do this.

I just got a reply. Basically, it is very generic and says we are exempt from travel restrictions. It makes no mention of us being prohibited to do what I proposed.

We will travel at the start of August as planned. I will take a copy of this letter just in case.

All the best everyone - I will share any experience that may be of use.

How about brideforaflight.com ?? :p

I checked yesterday all Qatar Airways flights till now were scheduled by Canadian Embassy in India hence they are allowing COPR holder's to board the flight.
Canadian Embassy in India did also mention that on their twitter page too. So that makes sense.

So we will probably need to keep an eye on future Qatar Airways flights

Let me overthink and add one more fact. What if there are delays in issuing PR cards? How many people got the actual PR card after March 2020? There is a lot of risk involved as things are not working as they used to be. You should not only think of doing landing for paper work but should also consider getting a PR card in hand. If for some reason there are delays in getting the PR card then you can argue with IRCC better in Canada than doing it from outside Canada after doing your soft landing procedure. We should do what is being instructed by IRCC no matter if it is their twitter handle as this is not the time for arguing over things to make them favourable from your perspective.
I respect your views. PR card is just an ID and as we know well as soon as the COPR signed and stamped we are PR and entitled for all the legal rights from that moment. I dont think there would be delay in PR card issue due to soft landing.t

So no one from FSW Outland applicant whose COPR has expired has received the latest email which states those 3 conditions for travel, right?! It seems only PNP applicants with Sydney as VO are receiving the same.
I was really hopeful that they would do something by June end...now the wait seems to be never ending. Cannot continue to have life on a pause mode anymore.
which email?
