Is IRCC approving visitor records without biometrics?

I am almost ready to send my application but just waiting on the visitor record as I am on implied status. Recently I heard a lot of people saying that IRCC is approving visitor records without biometrics during this time. Is this true? Anyone?

I applied for less than 6 months and didnt need to give biometrics

Not sure tho if it's because I wanted less than 6 months, if my home country has to do something with it too or if it's because of the virus

when filling your application. Did you see an area stating. Have you got your biometric taken during the last 10 years ? Did you say no or yes ?
How much did you pay for your application? Did you receive your visa already ?

I said no, considering I did not take biometrics. Visitor record is a 100 bucks, and yes
