Hey Everyone.

My passport is expiring Nov 20 and I just got it renewed. I wanted to know if it is mandatory to inform IRCC of this renewal or I can just wait till PPR and submit my old and renewed passports together.

I have received my GCMS notes as well and they show that a Counterfoil & COPR is also printed.

I am afraid that informing them of this at this stage may cause excessive delays.

@legalfalcon Would really appreciate your response.

TIA

Hi, have you ordered another note?
Not yet, I will probably order after 30-July-2020 because my application assessment date is 07/30 mentioned on the 2nd page. So it makes sense to order just after that and see if they have really done something

Of course you would have to inform them , passport is the mother of all documents

If you have renewed your passport, you can send the new one for PR visa and COPR. However, it is advisable to send a scan of your biographical pages to IRCC via webform informing them of the renewal. This will not delay the process. Instead, the PR visas are usually issued until the expiry of your passport. So you will not get a PR visa beyond the validity of of passport and as of now, IRCC only has your old passport.

If you submit the new one, then IRCC will be aware and you may get a longer visa, and more time to land.

@legalfalcon

request your guidance please

My eligibility was in review, I ordered notes on april 22nd. In the meanwhile, I received ADR for IMM5604 on May 1st (provided the document on June 4th)

my notes were dated 22nd April and received on May 14th - where program assistant had written Eligibility RR because of Proof of funds (my POF includes MFs) but had accepted the custody of children basis the custody document provided by me initially.

As my application was supposedly updated on May 1st, I applied for another set of GCMS notes on May 14th which I am yet to receive.

My question is if IRCC Officer had any query apart from IMM5604, would they have asked for it on May 1st itself or is there a possibility they can further ask for ADR (for POF or anything else).

Will highly appreciate your response.

You can link your PR card application to account before/after sending photo+COPR to IRCC. Because your pr card application was created while IRCC issuing your CoPR(Not sure it is manually done by the officer or by the system). I have linked my+family applications before sending the photo and I can see those applications are created on may 28th(the day I received my COPR). I have sent the photo+CoPR only on June 9th and it is reached on 18th.
Thank you. I was finally able to link my PR CARD application successfully (for me and dependents as well). The "Place of birth" field was causing Issue earlier, I am glad I was able to. Thank you all. Does anyone know if there are any specific updates on this Card application that one can expect to see in teh online account, prior to receiving the Cards by mail.

IRCC can request any information right until your application is approved. However, in most cases all the documents are requested during the eligibility review. RR for PoF is very common and it merely indicates that the assistant or an analyst is asking the officer to review your documents before making the final determination.

I have the exact same stuff as you. Did you find out if it means an approval?
I did ask around with people with similar status. I believe if you check your notes section, it should have OFFICE REVIEW comments. If it says approved, it indicates in most probability that application has passed Final Review by officer. Also you may get another indication by checking if landing visa IM-1 document number has been generated and visible in the GCMS notes or not. If it is present it means it was ready for PPR but wasn’t sent for printing due to Covid situation.

However its wise to assume all above are indicative only and nothing is final unless you receive COPR letter.

We can only hope for the best .........

Nowhere its mentioned that they r not issuing PPR in next six months , instead they are talking about how immigration will be looks like in coming months..its just a opinion not official announcement.
My thoughts too! I read it through, no where it’s mentioned that they will be suspending PPRs for a while. Rather what I interpreted is that after July, they’ll try to pick up the pace for express entry.

How accurate the due dates are? I am in the same boat. All assessments are passed/valid and waiting for a final decision. The due date is set to 07/21. Hopefully final decision will be made before that time.
