Getting my child to join me in canada

I am a recent college graduate with a 3year pgwp.I want my child to come and stay with me in canada, as I haven't seen him since I moved here to study.If he get a study permit, do I need to show proof of funds to accommodate him as a dependent?
If so what the minimum?
