I crossed border from Sarnia to Port Huron and faced no problems what so ever. It was first time after EO came out and second travel in last one month.

I have a valid stamping and 797 till December 2021.

So I will be moving permanently on July 1st. Do you guys have any idea if the 14 days quarantine is mandatory for first time visitors during Covid like me? even if my company provides a letter stating that I am an essential employee?

IThe way I read it is essential workers dont have to self isolate, https://www.wechu.org/cv/guidelines

Anyone crossed Peace Bridge US to Canada for landing? Any tips or things to keep in mind.
Thank you!

If you are not from NYS, the unknown variable is whether New York State allows you to cross to Canada without the state-mandated quarantine
I am from NJ and i guess anyone entering outside of Ny, NJ, Connecticut needs to do quarantine. Not sure though

Hi everyone,
I have a valid I797 for a different employer than my stamped H1B visa which is valid till 2022. I am planning to cross border from Seattle to Vancouver, and stay there for two months. (My employer has allowed two months remote work) based on the executive orders passed so far, will I be blocked re-entering USA? Also I did my landing last year in May, so it has been more than a year since I entered Canada on my PR, also I do not have an SIN number.

Thanks in advance.

Existing visa is not banned and that too you are US resident during the start of executive order. So it wont be a problem.

SIN is not necessary as you are still going to continue working for your US employer. US employers dont need SIN. For other purposes internal to Canada, you can start applying online/mail so that you have SIN for usage later. If you plan to be in Canada for few years sometime down the road then you should simply apply for SIN which will be helpful later (and its just one time work anyway).

i crossed today with AVR. no questions asked.
Hi, did you cross the border by road or did you take a flight back to US?

For Flight, that it is difficult getting boarding pass with expired Visa in the passport and explaining the Airline about the AVR process?

I know many who took flight from Toronto to Newark with AVR.
