Any updates or does anyone know if their open???
I sent the Amman Embassy on weekend and they did replay yesterday answering about medical instruction, the submission was on the 29th of January on behalf of my spouse in Syria and she already did the biometric

Dear Sir or Madam,

This refers to your email below.

You will be sent medical instructions as a next step.

However, please be advised that due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we are unable to provide an estimate of the timeframe regarding next steps.

Please note that the Migration Section of the Embassy of Canada in Jordan is currently providing essential services only.

We understand that this is a time of heightened anxiety. Please continue to follow local government health measures and instructions.

Please also monitor Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) website for updates to visa and immigration matters and to seek answers to general questions. Given our reduced capacity at this time, we are unable to respond to general inquiries: https://www.canada.ca/en/services/immigration-citizenship.html

Thank you for your patience,

Best regards,

Yes. I had a friend who got married.to someone who is not in Canada and sponsored her husband. But she went and visited her husband while her papers were being processed. There is not rule of not traveling. We all have the option to visit our spouses. But now is not a good time to go travelling due the virus

no updates ,
i guess our only hope that IRCC keeps it word and re open on june 30 for processing all applications . till now that date hold , then jordan embassy will have no choice and will be forced to open the VAC and start processing our applications again . cause it looks like the staff at the embassy doesn't want to work or process unless they have to , they have no excuse not to send atleast medical requests to people cause all of jordan is working doctors, government and banks ...etc curfew was lifted long time ago and if they send medical requests people there are able to do it . so it doesn't make any sense they dont have to finalize the applications if canadian government didn't give them the green light but still atleast continue with the steps people can make .

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/apply-visit-work-student.html

travel restrictions will be lift off June 30 .
look under the temporary process changes if you dont meet the requirements of the exemption they wont process your file till june 30

also you can only apply ONLINE till June30 .
which means they are planning to receive paper applications from foreign nationals after that date which means through VACS
